Marijuana, your opinions and how do you feel on it?

I like to smoke a joint after work, just like other people would crave a glass of wine. I smoke regularly, but am not dependent. As long as it doesn't influence my work performance i don't see any reason to quit smoking.
It makes me relaxed and creative. I work independently and i came up with my best ideas while i was a high as a kite.

 

Saying that marijuana is good for you is certainly incorrect, as it affects everyone differently. It may make some more functional, but in general, I'd say weed mainly has negative impacts on peoples' lives. I smoked heavily a few months ago, and while I at first loved it and viewed it in a positive light, it was causing me to be lazy, eat too much, and spend too much money. While weed doesn't have many long term health impacts per se, the mental changes can ruin people. I think most people should consume cannabis occasionally, and not let it take over their lives or become addicted to it.

 

Like everything in moderation. If it's for fun sure, but if it's because it's hiding issues nah. smoked it for 15+years quit a couple of years ago, Temptation never goes.

Weed is 10x better than drinking. Dont get how booze is legal and it causes so much shit yet weed is illegal in most places and don't cause half the issues booze does. It's not for everyone but i certainly love it.

 

I think all drugs should be legal so that way they can be safely purchased and the black market side of things doesn't have to exist. How ever on that same token, I think ether safe places or rehabs need to be allowed for everyone and it not cost an arm and a leg.

 

It should be legal for 18+. I feel altering the brain before hand makes it struggle to properly develope.

 

I support it fully. I used to smoke it a lot through middle school and high-school lol after a long day of work or after hitting the gym but as I've gotten older I've learned ways to feel good and unwind without needing weed

 

I smoke weed everyday, it doesn't matter if you do or not. Make sure your happy and do what you enjoy. If that's smoking weed then do it <3

It's definitely about regulating it like tobacco and descheduling it. Great to see California & Nevada being aggressive.

for me based on my views and beliefs, I firmly believe it should be used for medical purposes only and not for anything else other than that.

 

Don’t let something used for recreational purposes make everything in your life recreational. Know when to use it and when not to.

Exactly this. Some people have no control over this. Some are to weak and feed into addiction. Some go down a completely different path.

 

Used to smoke when I was like 15 or 16, quited when noticed it's kinda annoying when you're like bad internet with extremely high ping, but just in your brain.

 

There's no reason for it to be illegal, but there's also no reason for people to act like their entire lives revolve around it.

 

For me smoking weed always a social thing like I never felt the need to smoke I just always did it whenever my friends wanted to. My experiences were okay, nothing notable or life changing, I didn't care much for smoking and that's why I haven't smoked in years.
I think recreational marijuana usage with restrictions would be good not only economically, but if people were able to obtain it legally it could also make our communities safer places. I never cared for marijuana because I preferred stimulants(uppers) over downers. I used to buy lots of 30mg adderall from my friend to deal with my social anxiety and because it honestly made me a MUCH better league player. Once the high from taking one of those wasn't enough I started taking one and then breaking another up and snorting it. I felt invincible. I would take my doses, go to work, go to the gym for 1.5 hours, and then go out clubbing. When I was snorting adderall I was clubbing EVERY Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. About half a year into snorting them, I decided to start doing cocaine instead and the effects were the same. Again, I felt amazing and the cycle continued. One day my dealer told me he had something that was even better and even cheaper...........meth. I did meth for 3 months and was in the hospital 8 times. I should have died twice. I did 30 day outpatient program at a rehab facility and have now been sober from hard drugs for 3 years. I recently got prescribed 5mg adderall and I've been taking them responsibly and they have helped. I'm not against marijuana and as someone in the healthcare field I believe we should normalize using it more often to treat patients because I've seen some amazing results from people taking it for pain, mental health issues, and other medical issues. I no longer use marijuana, but I'm an open book about my past drug use and I'm ALWAYS available to talk with anyone that needs someone to message! <3

 

Glad you're clean now brother. Take life one day at a time. Many don't realize how easy it is to fall into addiction. Lots begin with prescriptions given to them by a doctor (or friend in your case). It starts so innocent and spirals out of control for many. Crazy it's legal to prescribe adderall to 8 year olds but illegal for dying cancer patients to use marijuana edibles (where I am at least).
