I'm into the whole wilderness survival but last I checked he has like a team behind him.

Not to mention camera guys, sound guys, etc.

What was the other guys name?

[I Eric I]

Survivorman, "Canadian filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud"

Is his shit legit?

I like him better, he does all the camera work himself. He gets dropped off in remote locations and solos the whole show. Also 'Man vs. Wild' has been accused of staying at hotels while he is supposed to be out surviving the wild.

There are TONS of videos like that on YouTube. All you have to do is to look for them.
