    How To Make Scones!

Welcome to my Guide on how to make scones, bare in mind i am only just 12,
please rate the guide, also, if you choose to follow this guide, please post a picture of the final result, if i receive a few enteries, I shall judge the best and the winner will receive 200-250k on RS [Depending on how generous I am feeling ;)]
On another note, mine look like shit because my cutter broke -.-

    Anyways; on with the guide!

    WHATS NEEDED?!

    • 200 Grams Self Raising Flour+ another 50ish grams, for flouring boards, ect.
      50 Grams of Butter
      50 Grams Sugar
50 Grams Extra Ingredients [Raisins, Currents ect.]
      100 Milliliters of Milk>_< >_<
A little bit of Olive oil + a pastry brush OR some extra butter/margerine

      Glass Bowl
      Knife
      Wire Tray
      A scone shaped cutter
      Baking Tray/Tin

    Teh Guide
    Step by Step ;)

    1. Wash Hands   [IMG]
Get the ingredients and equipment out. Put oven on: Gas Oven- 6 Electric-200
Grease the tin with either the Olive Oil or the [extra] Butter/Margerine then sprinkle a little Flour on top like in the picture:

Next, put the flour and Butter into a bowl.
If hard, beforehand, put the Butter into the Microwave for 10 seconds. Rub in until the mixture has a constistancy of breadcrumbs.- Like in the Picture [IMG]

Add the Sugar and 'Extra Ingredients'
Next is the tricky bit, add the milk slowly and stir in with a knife, you probabally wont use ALL of the milk. Stir+ add until doughey, like play-doh :embar: It should look like this- [IMG]

Roll out onto a floured surface, with a rolling pin, again, floured roll it out until about 3-4 CM thick, then cut out with the Scone cutter and place onto tray {I DIDNT HAVE A CUTTER, SO MINE ARE ABIT MESSY AND THIN}[IMG]

Put into the oven for 20 minutes, checking every 5 or so.
The most   FUUUUUUUUUUUUN:nuts:  bit comes next: cleaning up =@ =@
Clean and dry everything and put away in the right places![IMG]

Take out and put on the Wire Tray [IMG]

      EATTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!
      Or sell to other family members >:}

I found this guide interesting, and fun to read. A few tips to make it better. Don't use the "100 Milliliters of Milk", just irritating. Also, resize your images, and put in directly, and have every image an it's own line. Else, it's a very interesting and well written guide.

You should use different units of measurement (cups, etc)

MegaMatt - Yea, but he should still keep the others, to keep it international.
You could use this tool to convert from EU to US (and via versa) measurements.

Cups is a measurement used in the US. Instead of liters. 1 US cup is 2.36588237 dl and 1 l is 4.22675284 US cups.
    To be precise xD
