Christian Bale visits Aurora, Colorado

Not sure if you guys heard about it or not, but Christian Bale (Batman) stopped at the memorial and visited the hospital that the current victims of the shooting that happened on opening night were staying at.

Very classy guy, in my opinion.

 

It's definitely appropriate of him. Very genuine guy

 

"many people didn't even realize he was there", because no one notices two news cast camera crews sitting at a memorial videotaping one guy...

Really good of him, I hope the families are coping well.

 

That's really nice of him, what a good guy. I saw stuff about this on Facebook but I wasn't sure if he would actually do it.

regardless if he did it because his "people" told him to/inticed him to, it is very stand up of him to make an appeareance. i can't imagine a person having to be coaxed into visiting moviegoers that were attacked watching the actors film. you go glen coco!

Yeah, he's definitely a genuine guy but as anyone thought maybe he's doing this for publicity? I've seen others say it and it made me think but whatever, he's still a very nice guy for doing what he is.

 

This is a stupid thing to do.

Just because the shooting happened at the opening of The Dark Knight Rises doesn't make Warner Bros. or anyone or any entity incorporated with that movie responsible for the actions that took place.

If some other actors that weren't in the film came out to support the victims it wouldn't get half the coverage.

I'm just gonna get shit for this, but I honestly don't see the point. Okay so some people got shot, are any of them really shallow enough to feel better because some actor showed up? Much less the one in the movie they got shot trying to see? I think that'd just piss me off.

You shouldn't be apologizing for having an opinion, you should be apologizing for making assumptions and not having watched the videos before posting.

your point was that it's stupid that Christian Bale went there. The only reasoning that was consistent with this argument was that people would be pissed off at him. But yeah, that's an opinion you apologized for having one so I feel no need to get further into this.

As for the reasoning that nobody incorporated with the film is responsible and that no one would feel better, watch the videos.

 

There were that many people calling out to him to go and make that visit, if he hadn't he probably would have got some bad media coverage.

Either way, good on him, whatever his reasons are for doing it.

Actually, his "people" didn't tell him to do it. In fact, they made sure to state that they had absolutely nothing to do with him visiting.

 

I do remember seeing this message going around and being shared on FB saying that the cast of The Dark Knight Rises should go visit those who were injured by this horrific incident. I wonder if that message played any role in him deciding to go see them.

 

A very nice thing of him to do, was a tragedy what happened to those innocent people.

 

That's such a good idea, basically says fuck you to the shooter, your shooting gaving them a celeb visit, good to see something good happened for them for a change, poor, poor people.

 

Well I mean I don't know if you guys noticed, but there was a petition in facebook/youtube about this, 4 days before he went into the hospital "Christian Bale should visit the kids in the hospital in batman's costume to show the kids that not only the bad guys are real, but heroes too"

So my guess is that he read the petition and did it
