How diverse is your taste in music?

How many artists and genres of music do you listen to?
What type of music do you listen to the most?
What genre of music will you absolutely refuse to listen to and why?

I personally listen to about 5 people on a daily basis (Erykah Badu, UGK (Pimp C), Boosie, Outkast (Andre 3000) and Goodie Mob) but i have about 12 artists that are in my top. I mainly listen to Southern Rap (UGK) and R&B/Neo Soul (R Kelly & Erykah Badu) I havnt heard alot of music from every genre to claim what i "hate", but i barely understand anything Rock Stars say especially Metal and whatnot. >.>

 

I listen to pretty much anything apart from stuff like jazz, heavy metal, screamo anything hard rock i dont listen to at all.

I'm more into the whole R&B, Rap, Hip hop, Pop, soul scene but i also enjoy some rock, country, techno and alternative stuff like Jack Johnson too.

 

Not very diverse. I only listen to Rap/Hip-Hop tbh.

 

Mainly Rap/hip-hop, but I do listen to alternative rock (like seether, staind, puddle of mudd, etc), R&B back in the day & techno/trance occasionally. I also like some heavy metal, but only when i'm in a certain kind of mood.

 

My top 25 pretty much says it all.



The only genre's I don't really like are hiphop/rap.

I'm pretty diverse I guess you can say, ranging from Röyksopp to Odd Future,
I'll listen to anything that sounds good,
Not garbage.

 

I'd say I have a very diverse taste in music. I listen to anything but Country and mainstream music of today. I mostly listen to old school/underground hip-hop.

It is diverse, but it isn't at the same time. I list to metal, but all types of it. Post hardcore, metalcore, mathcore, heavy metal, death metal etc.

 

I mostly listen to hip-hop and rap, particularly from the 90s although I do tend to listen to a lot of dubstep (mostly chill dubstep though), grime, r&b, dancehall and soul at times. I may sometimes listen to other genres such as soft rock, reggae, country & jazz but I only really like a selected few songs. It also depends on the time or mood; I sometimes listen to ambient music when I'm revising or stressed etc.

You'll most likely never find me listening to trance, heavy metal or rock though. :shudder:

 

taylor swift, eminem, drake and tiao cruz all make pop music

 

I tend to stay with rock/alternative, but the stuff I listen to usually isn't past the year 2000-02, lol.

I really can't listen to a lot of music from this generation, granted there are some decent songs, though.
