Make runescape run better?

Any program to run runescape 03 on to make it run better with out lag?
My laptop is literately 3 years old with 4gigs of ram and i still lag even on the lowest setting possible on runescape :/ any ideas guys ?

 

Try update your java also check if you have any program running in the back ground this can be done by going to "Task Manager" and looking for any programs that you may of downloaded that are using a high percentage of your cpu/ram e.g. Skype, Razer Comms is a big one for me.

 

4GB should run 07 server with easy even on my old PC it has some MB ram it runs perfectly with 3 bots lol its not the PC its something else might wanna check into that maybe java or maybe a driver

 

You shouldn't be experiencing problems with a 3 year old PC. Have you cleaned your computer lately? If not download CCleaner from Piriform and run it. Should clean up a lot of unwanted files and make your pc a bit faster. You should also update your drivers and Java. Make sure all unwanted programs are closed.

If you are still experiencing problems you might be infected with a virus/malware. I would suggest getting Malwarebytes and running it. If you need any further help with any of these tips or getting Malwarebytes shoot me a PM.

Btw, what kind of processor do you have?

 

What sort of processor do you have? Runescape is heaviest on the CPU, it hardly uses any RAM.
Defragging your computer could help speed things up aswell.

 

I'll download CCleaner tomorrow and give that a shot. How do i get to update my drivers? And i have done msconfig do turn off things running in the background, and i also have Microsoft essentials so im good with not having virus.

One of my laptops has similar specs, its an AMD clocked at about 2.5ghz, so it should preform pretty close to yours.
I don't have any problems running the game, I can even run it on max, as long as I defrag frequently.
No way you should have trouble running the game on the lowest settings.

Try downloading Auslogics defragger and then try again.

Your processor should run 07 with ease. Microsoft essentials -.- You really think you are protected from malware/viruses with a free program? I would suggest buying/pirating Malwarebytes or some other paid product. Let me know if you notice a difference with the CCleaner.

try and free up some space on your disk make sure u running it on java 7

 

I don't think disk space is an issue. Look at the picture above.

 

try format your pc, i think it would help alot fresh slate.

 

I would honestly just reformat your PC, it's very easy. It's way better that way, and don't use big AntiVirus. If you won't reformat, download CC cleaner, remove all useless stuff that you don't use. Update java.

 

try running on orion? maybe its a browser issue.
