Leave the lies to the liars

The reform of rules in the Name Sales section has been suggested many times, however what I will be suggesting is something a little different.
It's no secret that the Name Sales section is shady. In fact, I'll go ahead and say that it's the most easily abusable marketplace on Sythe. There are people who literally do nothing but refresh the page in the name sales section looking for publicly advertised names to put in their sniping bot, proceeding to sell them for personal profit. Then there are those who simply snipe their own names back and put them back in the market.
You may be asking, how do they get away with it?
Well reader, this is because there is NO WAY to prove somebody sniped a name - unless they admit to it. Which believe it or not very rarely happens. When a ban occurs in the name sales section, 99% of the time it's because somebody was baited into admitting they sniped a name. However, some of the bans in that section make absolutely no sense whatsoever, and yours truly was a victim of this.
Take time to read through the thread below:
Klucius is a scammer
If you CBA, then the TL;DR is that I was permanently banned from Sythe because a name I was selling to this guy was sniped. Yes, seriously. The only way I was able to get unbanned was to PM the mod that banned me and show him the video of the trade. If I hadn't recorded it, I'd have been out 700m RS3 + a rare RSN, despite the fact that MY BUYER WAS TAKING SNIPE RESPONSIBILITY.
Now, compare the thread below to the thread where I was banned.
Blindcubefreak - Name snipe - "Poll"
See any similarities? The user "blindcubefreak" was reported because a name he was selling was sniped, yet he wasn't banned because "insufficient proof". Granted, his case was dealt with by the mod Gracious, who is active in the name sales section. Now I'm not saying my ban was to blame on mods on Sythe not doing their duty - they do a great job enforcing the rules. The only problem is, the rules don't explicitly state what classifies as "evidence" when it comes to name sniping.
The way things are currently, somebody can get away with sniping a name by just saying "I bought it from some random guy" and by providing easily faked screenshots. This is how so many people get away with "name recycling" as I call it - selling a name, sniping it back, rinse & repeat.
Am I suggesting we as a community should vote to make name sniping legal? Absolutely not. In fact, my solution is a lot more simple.
What I suggest is to add a 9th rule to the name sales section, stated:Before selling a name, the buyer and seller must agree on who will take snipe responsibility.
Now clearly, this rule isn't perfect - there would still be nothing stopping sellers from sniping their own names back and re-selling. That's where rule #10 comes in:

- Do not knowingly purchase sniped names.
With this rule, there isn't a chance in hell that somebody would be able to successfully appeal in their name recycling attempt. If a name is sniped from their buyer during transfer, their buyer would have all the proof necessary to prove the seller broke rule #10.
These rules may need refining, but naturally that job would be up to the staff of Sythe. This is just my two cents, and the easiest way to clear up the foggy areas of name sales. While I'm on the topic of name sales however, let me list a few things I've seen suggested elsewhere that I completely agree with.

- Do not make a thread solely for buying names. This is considered spam.
- If a name you're selling is bound to an account, you must state this in your thread.
- When asking for a price check on a name in the "Name Price Check" topic, you must first read How To Tell if your Name is Rare or Not + Name Market Tips/FAQ to lessen the amount of spam.
- Remove the name request thread, as it's a haven for snipers and rarely ever helps anybody get information on a name.
I'm interested in hear your views on these matters, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment.
Cheers, Khai.
