for high level pking such as level 110+ what kind of bow is best? dark bow or rune crossbow. or is there something better then both?

 

Rune crossbow. If you can use dragon bolts or onyx bolts you will do great. Dark bow is good for specs but its normal attack is way to slow and can't hit high enough that you can down anyone.

dont use drag bolts at that level.. dragon bolts work like this.

the dragon bolt spec hits crucial on lower defence accounts. that is why it is prefered amongst pures because of the usual 1 defence levels.

for fighting against opponents with defence bonuses and levels it is recommended to use diamond bolts (e) because they can hit hard against even the highest defence bonuses when its spec hits.

 

I currently use only onyx (e) bolts. Im 99 range and 94 mage with 40 def. Am I doing it wrong? They seem to be costing me an arm and a leg.

 

Rune c'bow with extremely good bolts can do a lot of damage in Pvp.
Dbows are more used by lower level characters to pj and rush noobs. Aka: 1 Itemers.

 

If you can veng, rune c'bow and dragon bolts (e). If not, rune arrows with msb + d bow work fine.

since ur 40 def bring dragon or diamond. dragon if ur fighting 1 def pures diamond if ur fighting zerkers maybe around 3 dragon though to kind of switch around during the fight.

common misconception with noobs is the most expensive bolts are the best this is wrong. they're enchanted and each bolt has a specific duty to fufill. let me break it down which *better* bolts are for what

diamond bolts (e) - perfect for fighting people with high defence equiptment because it can puncture and hit high quite often. good for pures fighting tanks, or mains vs mains.

dragon bolts (e) - these are charged with the power of a dragon's breath (nerdy). they are the same as fighting a dragon without using a antifire potion or anti shield, if ur going to be up against these bolts bring either antifire shield or antifire pot to protect u from high hitting specials. these bolts work perfect for fighting people with lower defence because the hit is magnified and hits hard on 1 defence pures higher then any other bolt would. these bolts do not hit good against higher level defenced players or players with high defence gear. so it is advised to stick to diamond for them.

onyx bolts (e) - these are worthless in pvp because they only leech some health if it hits its special which doesnt always come at the needed times and certainly will not treat ur bank with tender love and care. switch to dragon bolts if ur a pure, or diamond if your going to fight something with defence.

ruby bolts (e) - dont use these in pvp unless u really know what your doing or if ur suicidal as if u hit to high ull end up draining ur hp and get urself killed.

 

this guy knows what he's talking about. use diamond bolts (e) because the spec lets you hit them as if they have no armor, therfore doing more damage, but dragon bolts (e) EVERYBODY usually has a anti shield, or anti pots and its a waste of money. bring maybe 3-4 morigan javelins for the spec/ko and some vengs and your set

 

Don't use diamond bolts (e) full time.. rune bolts are cheaper (I think i dont even play now). After you hit with your diamond (e) spec switch to rune bolts and it's better.

Btw range is the gayest thing in the wildy and no one will want to fight you. I have a tank with 99 range/mage and a runepure with 99 mage/range and I hate rangers even.

 

Onyx bolts (e) also munch through defence. OR we could forget about the cbow and swap to hand-cannon, which is very good against defence. But Cbow is alot more convenient.

 

I think you should go with the hand-cannon, easy to down people.
