[DENIED] Make Moderator Feedback Anonymous

Don't have anything against any of the Mods but was just thinking that if you wanted to improve the system and get honest feedback then make the whole feedback system anonymous.

I doubt a lot of people would want to publicly post something negative about a Moderator.

It's kind of like the saying, if the King is doing something wrong and you're his advisor, you tell your advice to him in private rather than in front of everyone else. The individual staff feedback threads right now are basically another vouch page aside from the occasional rant. I doubt Admins enjoy negative criticism shown publicly either.

No support. This will only encourage trolling, shitposting and further abuse of their anonimity. There's no reason to hide if you wish to write something negative on someone's feedback thread. If you are, then I wonder what you have to say. Most likely negative feedback will also be asked about and eventually if you have had any negative experience with a moderator they'll always figure out what it was about.

 

I wholeheartedly disagree.

If you’re a pus*y and can’t give blunt, honest, true feedback and advise then don’t. For the rest of us who can.. we will. And I sure as heck don’t need to be anonymous to do it.

None of the staff are kings, and like superflu said if they can’t handle feedback they won’t last.

The way I see feedback.
If it is constructive criticism and you can have a discussion with a mod about something you’re more likely to give them feedback based on what they need to work on, and they sure as hell need to work on stuff cos they ain’t perfect and they never can be, and that’s the best part to learn from mistakes.

Trolling goes to spam forum. Anonymity can aids trolls.

 

This would be beneficial for some mega ego mods that can't agree they did something wrong without making the person that pointed it out their biggest enemy

 

This would be practical if some users weren't hyper-aggressive towards moderators based on personal feelings. An example of this would be a correctly placed infraction turning into a grudge towards a certain moderator, and with this implementation, would turn into an anonymous outlet to put said moderator down for simply doing what is correct. Trust me, we deal with enough of it already.

I see both sides to this but i'd like for feedback to remain how it currently is. If a staff member has an issue taking constructive criticism, they won't last as staff anyway. Lastly, no one should be afraid to speak up especially if their intentions are pure.

 

If hyper-aggressive member wanted to do as you said they could just create a new account and stay anonymous that way , no doubt you will get more spam but will also get a lot more people coming foward who are scared to post, maybe they don't want to be targeted and can't afford to lose there business so they just keep shut =)

As my experiences with infractions in the past it ended up with me posting on hahanerds feedback wall but only because i was getting ignored i was infracted which was correctly placed, just two threads down there was a mods thread with the exact same offence. I report yet it gets ignored, I pm the mod still gets ignored 3-4 days later i post on feedback thread less then a hour it gets sorted.
Mods should lead by example.

I support however there should still be public feedback as i see both public/anonymous beneficial.

 

I agree feedback should be allowed to be given privately and anonymously. However I don't think users should be allowed to give public anonymous feedback because in my opinion users who have a grudge against certain staff members will inevitably exploit this as a way of smearing staff.

 

Guilty myself of this(shouldn't try to solve things while being emotional ik), but honestly there are some staff that will never admit their mistakes and will hold a grudge on anyone pointing it out. Haven't really ever had problems with admins so maybe only admins being able to see who posted would also be nice. I honestly never leave public feedback on bad behavior because i don't want to be constantly head hunted

 

Support the idea, but i do not support this current suggestion... I don't support the "make WHOLE" Feedback system anonymous

I would like for them to ADD make a subsection where you can leave feedback anonymous, so it can be anonymous and non anonymous.

Support the idea in some conception. Some people have a lot invested into the site and make a living from it so if they wanted to give staff feedback which could be viewed as controversial I can see how they would be hesitant to do so in fear of repercussions or developed biases.

 

Support the idea but I think it needs some tweaking to work properly and as intended without abuse.
Perhaps if you could make it anonymous to everyone except for Admins this could work but then the feedback wouldn't be entirely anonymous.

I still believe that all feedback should be public but I do understand wanting an anonymous component to it.

All depends on the implementation to me but I do support the concept.

 

To avoid troll posting and spam we can't have guest posts on feedback threads. A way you can go about leaving feedback for staff anonymously is to send feedback to a higher rank and have them deliver it.

Feedback for Globals go to an Admin
Feedback for Admins go to another Admin
