[IRC] Setting up your first channel

This is a brief guide on how to set up your own channel on IRC.
Note: Written for SytheIRC or similar

    Step 1: Picking your channel
Picking your channel name can be fairly simple. Channel names vary from personal channels, forum channels, Runescape channels, programming channels, etc.

Now after you have your channel use the following command.
    - /join #ChanName
Note: you must put # in front of the name of your channel for you to join it. IRC was built this way to tell the difference in memos, notices, etc. between Nicks and Channels.

After you join your channel you should have op in there (@). If not then the channel is already registered. (You can also check to see if the channel is registered by using /cs info #ChanName)

    Step 2. Registering your channel
To register your channel you must have op (@) in the channel.
    - /cs register #ChanName Password Description
Note: Your Nick must be registered to do this.

After you have successfully registered your channel you should now be the owner (~) of the channel.

Step 3. Setting up a bot from BotServ(Optional)
Setting up a Bot in your channel can be very helpful and a quicker way to manage your channel.

Picking your bot is really easy.
    - /bs botlist ( A whole list of bots from the service should come up)
Pick your desired botname you want and then assign it to your channel.
    - /bs assign #ChanName BotName
Your bot should now be in your channel and have admin (&) in your channel.

Bots use commands called "Fantasy commands". They are a faster way to do little things in your channel. Here is a small list of commands.
    !kick Nick
    !ban Nick
    !unban Nick
    !kb Nick (Kick Ban)
    !akick add Nick (auto kick)
    !akick del Nick
    !access add Nick 1-9999
    !access del Nick
    !invite Nick

    Step 4. Access and etc.
Giving access to people is a way to have more people to manage your channel or something you just want to give away to people.
Note: Only give access out to people who you only trust.
    - /cs access #ChanName add Nick 1-9999
    (3 is Voice+, 4 is halfop%, 5-9 is op@, 10-9999 is admin&)

Setting your topic explains whats going on in the channel or something you would like everyone to see when they join.
    - /cs topic #ChanName TopicHere

Enjoy your new channel. More complex commands to managing your own channel can be explained in other guides.

    Thank you for reading

Note: pictures will be added if I am ever unbanned from SytheIRC
