Make it illigal for those so called ''recruit a friend'' WoW gametime to be sold!

I completely agree with this. I bought 7 months of RAF gametime a while ago and it recently got removed. When I asked the seller about this they said that it could happen sometimes and that I would get a discount the next time I bought from him. After searching for this on google I found out how this RAF gametime thingy actually worked. It's pure fraud. The reason I found this looking legit in the first place is that it was advertised here on sythe and the people who sell this have a good amount of vouches. So yeah, please ban this on sythe.

 

And the reason people don't report or complain about this happening to them, is because beforehand the seller ''warns'' them. Like there is a small chance of RAF to be removed, do you accept this risk? And because its so cheap anyways, people don't really care. And then there RAF gametime gets removed and they contact the seller again. He of course says that they agreed with this ''small'' chance of removal, and they could buy more months for a discount. Again, because its so cheap people don't hesitate and buy it again. And then they get scammed for the second time.

 

I don't care if it isn't exactly 100%, this seems like it's very, very open to fraud and should be removed.

Almost every Runescape account can be recovered, most membership upgrades can be chargedback. That's why I don't feel that is a good enough reason.

 

Sure, but how many runescape accounts are obtained through fraudulent means?

 

We already ban runescape upgrades obtained via credit card, this is pretty much the same thing but with WoW. My 2 cents anyway

 

Hmm so people getting scammed in one area means it is okay for people to get scammed in another?

If this is a high risk type trading situation then why would we allow them to happen...Decrease in members...increase in scams, scam reports, and low moral after one gets scammed.

 

Or we could make a sticky on what to do if it happens in the section, and warn people about the type of service. I know a few people who do it legitimately but the price isn't that low.

Of course not. Scams are always going to happen, some areas are more risky though. That's what I believe is down to the traders. I'm fine with warning them with stickies and an announcement but if it is possible that there are legitimate traders out there I don't like that they get punished for the selfishness of others.
