Mage Boxing. Will it be fixed?

What do you guys think. Is there any intention to block vecna's skull from duels when potions (or some other option) is off?

I'm a little bummed right now cuz this has been devastating mage boxing which was a major source of my income.

And tbh, Jagex really should make it considered as a "potion" because it aids you bonuses. Potions actually do the same thing, but with your stats.

 

Yeah buying the skull is no problem, but you are limited to fighting every 7 minutes...

 

yea true, i think it was a stupid update in my opinion.
jagex is overdoing there items and sht
pretty soon there gonna make a wep that specs 1200 and the only way to survive it is to brew in full torva
they need to learn that bigger isnt always better

I totally agree! And with melee getting all this stuff, they need to give range a decent spec and how about mage while their at it..

 

Yeah mage has literally gotten nothing for years...Miasmic shit doesn't count, and neither does dung gear. Both are gimp updates.

Range has gotten some weapons added to the list, but again not very practical to use.

Oh, and please don't mention the gear Nex drops, Vertus and Pernix or w/e...It's not like the average RS player can afford that (and if you are saying the average RS player can, please throw some of that wealth my way LOL)

They wouldn't put a patch on it.
If they put a patch on that, then they would have to put a patch on the armor that comes from nex also.. because it gives like a 40HP boost.

 

True it's frustrating, but I hit a 440 ftw yesterday 8) so that was pretty tight, was only d claws though, but 20m is 20m.

I like it to be honest, at the same time I only get a stake ever 10 minutes or so so I haven't found it an issue like some of the boxers probably have.

I never said it was a glitch. The point is that it goes against the spirit of staking and makes it rather impractical while providing no real benefit.

 

I don't see how it goes against "the spirit of staking" at all. Also if it proves no benefit, don't use it.

He doesn't mean it won't benefit you if you use it. He means the point is that everyone will be using it as they have no choice. So if everyone has it then there is no benefit of having the item in the game.
It goes against the spirit of staking mainly because it limits you to staking every 7 minutes. Most stakers like to stake back and forward against opponents.

They should of just made it a pvm item

 

I'd like to disagree with this. The ASN + CS were both HUGE updates. I believe mage has the highest (maybe 2nd to CR) DPS in the game. With highest mage bonuses ice barrage can now hit over 500 easy.

 

Any meleer can slap on some dhide, and there goes the potentially high dps.

 

Ummmmm your an idiot, yes arc stream and c staff were big updates however mage is woefully underpowered and not cost effective. yeah you can hit almost decent now but still ok you hit 500 once a year with max mage, or you can hit 300 300 easily with a a dds and 500k of mellee gear.

MAGE IS NOT ABLE TO COMPETE WITH MELLEE.

Dung weps made me fail my max tank and goto 138 because
1. c staff low alch value
2. ccbow low alch value
3. dung mellee weps way higher hits
4. earlier release of prayers like turmoil, 8 months before the release of anything added as an afterthought for mage or range.
