MAC users.. how to assign screenshots to a folder?

How do I assign screenshots to go to a folder automatically without dragging them from the desktop? Also, is there any way to assign my command+shit+4 to screenshot a certain area of my screen without me having to drag every single time?

You can also use the free downloadable application called Jing. Once you open it it shows up as a small quarter-circle in the top right corner, and with two clicks you can take a screenshot of any window or selection.
