#!# The Dangers of Google:: What you should know, and what you can do //All OS

Google can be both a powerful friend, and a mighty enemy. Simply using it with numerous syntaxs you can do anything from defining words, to picking up a live webcam feed. And if you know the firmware model for these cams, things can get ugly.

At least, they used to, that was only 3 years ago. But what has Google been doing recently that should alarm you?

Google's search bar is border lining illegal in a nasty sort of ways. They've had to revise their code many times in the past because
Google was using it to monitor what was being stored on your hard drives.

Yea.. no big deal, except our pals over at Google office knew the serial numbers for your hard drives.

Sounds like paranoia, but realistically their toolbar no longer does this, instead they have created a new enemy:
    Google Chrome.

Why is it dangerous, and why should you care?

It is dangerous because it did everything the toolbar used to, and more!
Google has taken a liking to keeping record of what sites you browse, and everything
you search for on Google's engines.

(Released information from the NSA (who bought Google in '02))
It is no secret, Google admits this (forced to by law) but your typical user is
    unbeknownst to this startling anti-feature.

Google also announced that all information recorded by them WILL BE HANDED OVER TO AUTHORITIES AS SEEN FIT.
    ^yea.. thx guys.

It gets a little worse, Google's monopoly behavior has shown its true colors as it proceeds to render itself a sovereign centralized internet proxy. With Google's Chrome, your internet browsing is only at the discretion of Google. You are more limited using it, than you are without.

Google again, impresses me with the it's wonderful 50 year cookies, set to never expire. Google is the Walmart of the internet world, it could collapse and destroy what it sees fit. And it is using your obedience in order to do so.

More over, The Google corporation is attempting to standardize site indexing, you have to do things "Google's way". If you don't, well guess what site won't be accessed through Google chrome!

Google makes claims of not removing any information off their database in the next 50 years. And is more than eager to present evidence agianst you in court room.

    ###WHAT CAN YOU DO###

Well, don't stop using Google, on the contrary I encourage you to, as I have stated before Google is a powerful little friend, but you must always be conscience of what you are doing with Google's search engine/applications.

For example, do not use their tool/search bar to search up personal information. Do not use Google chrome to anything where you are submitting personal information. And if you're going to browse the net with Google, right on, I'm here with you. But if you are using Google to search for anything questionable, Use a proxy.

    Furthermore;
ALWAYS DELETE YOUR GOOGLE COOKIES DAILY

I am not suggesting you slow your roll, or stop using Google's applications. I'm attempting to bring light on some of their recent activity that is dangerous to you as an individual.

In fact, I encourage you to use Google's services, as they are excellent! I'm merely attempting to open your eyes so that you could use Google's services to your advantage.

"In Soviet Russia, Google search you."

Give Seamonkey a go. Alot of companies made various deals to stop firefox from being able to rune certain codecs/plugins. Seamonkey was netscapes big FUCKYOU~!. You may like it, it's a pretty stout little browser.

A great alternative for google is DuckDuckGo. If you want security and anonymity there you go. They keep no user information and everything is sent over HTTPS. Here's their About page on privacy:

I found this very informative, thanks. However it seems like the things that google may be doing are things that most search engine companies would do. Do you know if Bing is doing the same thing? If they aren't then I am going to make the switch.

Google owns YouTube too, so they might be practicing the same thing.

I remember the CEO admitting to this a while ago. I forgot about it though, interesting ;)
