Special mods for report a scammer/spammer

Well this is just a suggestion doubt it's going to ever happen . Most of the report a scammer/spammer threads have lots of info or good reasons in them and they never get answered. I would recommend getting trusted people to be mods on those 2 boards and be able to help out.

 

Personally if I was a mod for report a scammer/spammer I would be insane. To understand the severity of the insanity it brings from doing reports I have a little story.
Gf says: Gtg
Me says: okay
Gf says: I love you
Me says Done, thanks.

I also wrote "Done, Thanks." on an English exam accidentally.

The staff are already discussing a method to fix it.

 

Meh I wouldnt mind doing it. But then again even if i have been here since 05, it doesnt matter because my original account has been hacked. (Trent Thomas victim and yet still no mod has cared to look into it) The_Kills was my original.

I also wrote a report scammer report but was never looked into back then.

 

On my reported post, you said this:

"Done, Thanks <3"

Anyway, Giddy is doing a great job of getting through report a spammer threads. Theres a shitload of them though and its not easy to go through them all.

 

Sounds like a good idea since most reports are simply ignored .

But then only VERY TRUSTED members should have this rank otherwise this could all go wrong >_< .

 

YEa a fair bit of them get done tho, and theres alot there. Its going okay, more help would obviously be helpful though.

I would be glad enough to help if this suggstion gets put further, seeing as Sythe needs rid of these scammers, id be gladto do my bit to help

I agree that some people should be put to this.

 

Not a bad idea there is so many that alot get ignored, and scammers stick around, but if someone got this rank who was immature or abused there power or banned without thinking and looking closely at evidence it could result in alot of people banned for no apparent reason

Giddy is doing his job very well,
but maybe we need a second person.
I do agree, it will go faster with 2 persons.

 

But it was only declined by Pen, no other staff member seemed to reject the idea.

And if I recall correctly, you were for Report a spammer/scammer sectionals not too long ago.

 

Thanks finn so it sounds as though it won't be accepted again and I agree giddy has been doing a great job and also he has replied to a pm of mine explaining why he did something with regard to some of my reports
I would support this myself however and would put myself forward for the job

 

It isn't as easy as a lot of you may think, people post SPAM reports for things that simply are not SPAM, so for the staff to:

1. go through all the reports,
2. sort them out,
3. check each one,
4. infract if necessary,
5. write a message to the offender,
6. then lock and move that thread,

is alot to do, as said before by Macroman, the staff is working on a way to fix the problem.
