Merching clans

Greetings,

I remember back in the old days where merching clans were prevalent and had a fairly large impact on specific items. However, am wondering if people know if they're still a thing today or are a thing of the past. Although i'm fairly sure most rich merchants take it upon themselves to manipulate items on the market

Some of the bigger merchant clans charge a fee to join, Goodluck finding one though!

 

Are they on rs3 or 07 now man ?

 

It's impossible to find merching clans. I believe there was something about it done by Jagex to make the advertisement of them
and running of them bannable, I can't remember though.

I would imagine some of the rich players still run them, but they are mostly scams with only the ranks & the highest investors and
people who sell early make profit.

I have seen people lose their entire bank in merch clans.

 

Yeah man, likewise, there all scams in the end tbh as you stated. Jagex banning them is probably the reason why I don't see them as much anymore. Also, some people on RS3 (old players) who've acquired numerous party hats from the past have enough wealth to manipulate the market as it is.

 

I don't believe the market manipulation solo works well.
You need people to sell to, no single player can control that type of market

I’d say there are merch clans out there. They’re probably just private with big investors. I think Jagex has done something about merch clans because I never see any advertising at the G.E. anymore

 

Does anyone know if there is a clan that kinda just helps guide flips anymore where people say what they buy high level gear and items for live?
