Client Token Failure

Every 1 or 2 hours or so, whether I'm playing legitly or not, I'll get a client token failure, which makes me completely reload the page. It's extremely annoying as some times I'll be killing tormented demons or Bandos or something along those lines. The reason I post this in the cheating thread is, I was doing some gold farming, picking/stringing flax on 5 throwaway accounts of mine, and when I woke up in the morning every single one had a "Client token failure - Please reload the page" When I did, each one had a varying number of flax from 1-3k, so I know it wasn't a client token failure that hit all of them at once, but knocked them out one at a time. This happens on anything I play runescape on: swiftkit, firefox, the official runescape client, and SMART. This has been happening to me ever since a few months ago, and let me know, do you guys think this is a deliberate attempt by Jagex to stop botting? If so, it's working, and it's pissing me off.

Tl;dr: I get client token error every few hours, whether im botting or not. Do you guys think it's an attempt by jagex to throw off botting?

 

I get it too sometimes. It seems to happen when you switch accounts several times on the same applet. Or, switch IP addresses I've noticed, but sometimes that yields the 'Runescape has updated!' message.

 

im pretty sure you only get it after every 6 hours then you have to reload the whole page again and ye its one of those anti bot thing

Everyone gets it. Jagex claims it's not to stop booting just a problem that's been happening since the cluster fluster update and they are working to fix it. All people legit and botters get it and it actually should happen every 6ish hours not 1 or 2.

Happens more often to me. Sometimes I open RS, while loading, I do something for anywhere around 10minutes to an hour or so. I come back, and get this. Also happens when I log out, and afk for a while, or just leave the page there.

 

It's every 6 hours. Possibly 6.5HRS

 

People say 6-6.5 hours, but I legitimately get it every 1-2 hours, sometimes within 30 minute intervals.

 

Well, today I was logged in for a little over an hour, 2 at most. While fletching, I was logged out. I thought, did I get wiped or something? Then got client token failure. So it happens a lot less than every 6 hours.

 

I get it every 2-3 hours as well. It's not an every 6 hour thing.

 

Yeah, It happens to EVERYBODY. Including me and it's extremely annoying... happens EACH day I've always had the runescape window open for days & now if i go somewhere and return after few hours I get "client token failure" -.-

I hope they fix that BS soon... i remember when you could have the window open for weeks without Restarting.

I belive, that every time your IP changes, it happens.

 

Lolno. Most people have static IP's, and your IP doesn't just randomly change on it's own. I have a static IP, and I get it every few hours randomly. I don't really worry about it since RiD has a method to auto-refresh, but it's still really irritating whenever I log in after being afk for awhile.
