    TeamViewer

Please do not post here unless you are a mod. I'm using this thread to explain how to use TeamViewer for my services. If a mod could please lock this thread to prevent spam (even though this is an off topic thread) I'd highly appreciate it.

    Explaining TeamViewer:
As many have asked, what is TeamViewer? It's a program where your able to see my screen if I request you to by setting up a virtual connection. You can request me to see your screen in live-time which can prove a lot more than pictures (screen-shots) could prove. This is why I use this for my trades, and a lot of other users should do the same thing to prevent from getting scammed or ripped off.

TeamViewer has a few options you can choose from (Explaining from TeamViewer 5.0)

    ID + PW (Generate Session):
This is a generated UserID + Password (A default password can be set, but not recommended!) to connect to the other user. Setting a default password is unsafe knowing others can connect to you if you have TeamViewer up and running, otherwise it's randomly generated.

    Options to connect (Create Session)
There are four options to connect to the user, which for trades you'd only want to do presentation for safety reasons. Note: you enter their ID regardless of what you choose to connect to them or request them to connect to you.

    -Remote Support
Very unsafe, not only for trades but even outside of trades. This will allow them to have full access to your machine to give remote assistance to you. Required for remote support is your ID+PW, you enter their ID they give you then a prompt will come up for the password, which you enter there and you have remote support. If someone is asking to do a presentation trade, and they end up seeing your screen (it will tell you, and you will see a box off to the right hand side showing options as well as they have control of your mouse) which you should cancel the connection and close TeamViewer as this was remote support.

    -Presentation
The most basic, and safe way to do a trade. This requires the other users ID+PW to view your screen for verification reasons, they do NOT need your ID or PW for any presentations. This generates a session where they have no control over your computer, they can only view your session you generated for them. This is a safe, easy way to use TeamViewer.

    -File Transfer
This is pretty much self explained, you should not need to use file transfer for any of your trades. This is unsafe as you can receive keyloggers/trojan/worms by accepting a malicious file. Only use this with who you trust, which you should never have to use this feature unless you are sending/receiving a file to/from a friend or family member.

    -VPN
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. You'd use this if you have a WAN network, or to connect two close by networks as one. For example, if you wanted to print a document from another network, you'd use this feature to connect to the other network and you'd be able to print your document from your own network which would path it to the VPN which sends the data to the other network and you'd be able to print the document out on the other network you are bridged to. Since this connects two networks into one virtual network, you'd both have access to both networks from what I know, which can be unsafe if you are dealing with a non-trusted person. I've personally never used this feature, and shouldn't be used for trades. This is a useful feature for network techs, or for home/office use, not for sythe trades.

Please see (http://www.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_manual.pdf) for the TeamViewer manual to specify any direct questions you may have about TeamViewer. It is all explained in the manual, though I will be open to questions over MSN (do not post here, please PM me through sythe or IM me on MSN) concerning my trades, and TeamViewer.
