That's something of a hack. Ofc he can just print out 5 lines of " * ", "*****" and another of 5 of " * " - the point's to use nested loops

 

class plus {
    public static void main(String[] args){
         for(int i=1; i<6; i++){
              System.out.println("     *");
         }
         System.out.println("*********");
          for(int i=1; i<6; i++){
              System.out.println("     *");
         }
     }
}

Thank you, that helped, starting to understand what I need to know and how to get it done halfway right. My biggest problem was finding where to put the seconds and third System.out.print without causing errors and that second for loop. Thank you very much that definitely helped.
