Speed/performance rating 5.8 and 5.9 out of 5.9 yet I run a slow computer.

Owain Jones pointed out to me that my computer is garbage. I have a quad core processor, something phenom. All of my performance stats are 5.8 or 5.9 out of 5.9. I lag sometimes during Runescape, I lag during remote assistance, everyone says my screen shakes on Counter Strike. My old computer wasn't like that for counter strike, so I know something is definatly wrong.

If someone could link me / talk to me about ways to speed up / help my computer performance, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much. Add my Msn if you need to, though, I would preffer a PM as I can read that when I wake up, and it won't be dependant of me being online or not.

 

Re-install everything, It'll delete all the junk that is slowing down your computer.

Back up the stuff you want to a portable hardrive. If you don't have one, they're pretty cheap (I got a 120GB for $60).

 

Yeah, or get WinASO registry cleaner (can send free) and run that. Maybe clean out CPU fan..

 

These people dunno what they're talking about

try taking your computer to someones house who has a good internet connection, just to make sure it's not the connection. You computer should work really well. Buy/borrow crysis warhead so that you can test that too.

 

I would personally do a system restore, so that everything can be cleaned up.
