I worked on lighting a lot on this piece, trying to improve on my techniques using criticism I've received here. Still looking for more feedback :).

You're getting there, now my suggestion would be to bring your light source onto the canvas and incorporate it into an element. It makes it so much easier to bring it forward or push your focal back using atmospheric perspective to give the piece the right depth.

    Watch all of these:

They're so useful to not just digital painters, but the concepts are universal through all art.

I was sort of trying to do that with this one, but none of my resources looked good in the area. Are there any techniques I might be missing in that regard?

C4D's are really great for that sort of thing. Find something that looks like it would be curled around a light, or that a light source could be placed on. Bring it onto your canvas, make your light source, make sure the C4D is effected by object-sourced lighting and make sure the focal is lighted correctly.

If you didn't see my edit to the previous post please go to that YT page and watch those. They're so helpful.

Thanks for the feedback and tips. I'll have to set aside some time to watch the videos on that channel :p.
