    Looking for BitCoin Help/Minging etc

    Hey guys,

I am looking to start making money from bitcoins as it seems like a possible avenue to make Legal money. I have two computers one I never use and the other I use occasionally. One is 2500+ Gaming computer and the other is an old not that good laptop (it isnt that bad).

If you want to help me create some revenue through bitcoins, maybe we can work together and sort something out?

I am unsure of how the whole bitcoin 'thing' works so any advise etc would be much appreciated!!!

    Thanks,

    Johnson

You're not going to make much at all unless you build a computer that can support a huge hash rate. The difficulty on the chunks are already so hard and there are already so many huge mining pools that individual mining isn't worth it, and pool mining will probably net you a loss after you consider the electricity needed to power your rig.

You're better off buying the coins when you catch a down trend in the market and hold onto them.

It is much more viable to mine in altcoins (dogecoin, for example), then go to an exhange and switch to bitcoin. Or, you can just sell the altcoin directly for USD.

Drop by a PM, if you need any help!

This. Find a coin you like the trend on (LTC is good, DOGE is okay I guess) then you can mine them and where they're fairly new the difficulty shouldn't be too hard yet.

I personally mine DOGE, since it's the easiest altcoin to sell. You can use coinwarz.com to find the current most profitable altcurrency, if you want to mine in that way.

I recently made a 800kh/s (will put in another 450kh/s card when I get the money) mining machine, and I can help you out :)

There are a few things to keep in mind when entering the world of mining for the first time. Rising/lowering of the difficulty (difficulty is the adjustment made by a coin's network to maintain a balance of how often blocks are solved, the higher the total hash rate, the less your returns will be should your own hash rate remain the same), the block rewards/how often they reward/how many coins are rewarded/when the block rewards will halve, which mining pools are better suited for the coin you're going to mine, and most definitely keeping up to date with all the necessary updates, dev posts, market movement, etc. for your the particular coin.

Before you jump on board, I highly suggest you learn as much as can about the entire process from start to finish before investing in any mining equipment. I have read and seen too many horror stories of misguided attempts at mining on bitcointalk due to the rapid release of high priced ASICs. Always take into consideration that multiple companies are always competing with each other, and a few have plans to release an ENORMOUS amount of hashing into the BTC network by early Q2 to Q3 of this year and will cause the difficulty to skyrocket again as it did last year when 1st Gen SHA-256 ASIC's were born (60 Gh/s Avalon was the first one ever on the open market, and now, there are 2 - 3 Th/s rigs set to be released only a year after.)

Lastly, I recommend you look into mining Scrypt (Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc), not SHA-256 (Bitcoin, Namecoin, Peercoin, etc). GPU mining for Scrypt is still going to viable for quite some time.

Good luck with this. I used to mine when difficulty was low. But even then, I was getting around .001 bitcoin per hour, and I was running it on a massive gaming computer. Its not worth it, unless you purchase bitcoin miners (butterflylabs, etc)

Mining bitcoin isn’t easy. It could take up huge energy bill, so you’ll need good mining software if you want to make good profit off of it. Anyway, best of luck to you.

Difficulty is pretty high, not sure you can do anything with a laptop and single computer about mining bitcoins or litecoins.
You should check which alts you can mine and exchange them for btc or ltc
