Regarding temp ban (RWT minor)

When you get a 3 day ban for RWT (minor) as a buyer, what do they mean when Jagex says it'll remove wealth from your acc? Are they talking about the gold or will they remove items too. I'm asking because most of the gold I bought was already used and only have like 600m of about 3b.

 

I think they just take the GP, so maybe buy assets with the remaining GP just to be safe

 

They are able to track you by checking trading logs between buyer and seller. They only remove GP that was bought off.

 

I'd also like to know, I've just had the same thing happen to me. I bought 1.2b, had 500m in my coin pouch, used 1b and had like 700m left over. Will they take all my money and some of my gear??? I also got an inbox message the previous month saying I was warned for real world trading (I was) but I had no idea that was in my inbox until saw I was banned for 3 days, if I did, I would have stopped.

 

Update: I have logged back in, no items or assests have been deleted. My coin pouch of 600m has been emptied to 0 however. Thought I'd share this information since no one else has seemed to do any research to care enough. Bottom line? Gold selling is fucked. Jagex won I guess. If I want gold, guess it'll be through bonds.

 

Let me guess: you bought from a big seller? You had sex with a whore and got an STD.

Next time, try buying from someone who is low volume.

 

I've been buying gold for years, and I've always made it a point to prioritize my account security by buying from max mains only, in discrete locations. Not once was I ever noticed, or banned, until Jagex made their announcement in October. All it took was 4 months for me to get caught. Nah man. I'm done. Been doing this 10+ years. It's faily clear at this point they're targeting the buyers to completely squelch the market, and that they have a detection system built into trades now.

I'm yet to see someone get caught for RWT buying and them actually remove any wealth.

 

I had 600m in my pouch prior to a 3 day rwt ban, and when I logged back in, it was emptied to 0.

 

I just got a 3 day ban for buying, really hoping they don’t take anything! I have about 700M in GP and a lot more in items.. I’ll update once I get back in..

 

Mind letting us know who you bought from and the total level of the account?

 

My total level is about 2060. I bought from a small Discord seller, but I bought a lot of money which is probs why I got caught

 

Update: I just got back into my account and they didn’t take any gold or items! It’s all as it was. No more RWT for me though!

 

i havent heard of jagex taking any gold from gold buyers. atleast back in days they used to reset stats/wipe accounts especially accounts which got banned for botting, but highly doubt that they take the gold.

 

hey, just got a RWT Minor ban 3 days for RWT. brought 1.4b 2 months ago and 100m last week will all the wealth get wiped off? Or is it just a warning

 

They left my bank alone, but who knows! You’ll have to wait 3 days and find out (clicking log in will be the most heart-wrenching thing lol)

 

If you're getting caught RWTing like that then you're clearly not using reputable buyers/sellers and old established practices that many have used for over a decade with immense success. We have buyers and sellers who've moved trillions of GP with zero bans. Don't be a fool trying to save yourself a few cents per mill. Buy and sell with reputable members and save yourself the headache.

 

Been buying gold for 2 years 3 days ago got a ban had 1.6b in acc lucky enough for minor bans i guess jagex gives a warning my bank is safe and im done with RWT.

 

Don't be mindless when buying gold, make sure to use reputable sellers and don't make it obvious that you're doing a RWT and you'll be safe.
