My 1st Day at Duel Arena and Staking Method

So before today I'd never staked before in my life. I wanted to try it though, so I figured I'd just stick to boxing stakes (I'm maxed melee) since they seem the most fair. I have to say I had a lot of fun. Started out in the official dueling worlds, but the arenas were always full and every other person was a scammer so I eventually moved to world 6. Speaking of scammers, funny story there: I was box staking 2m, and a suspiciously low level challenged me. I checked the rules carefully before accepting, but the fucker somehow quickly switched on the weapon slot without me seeing. Luckily, however, I anticipated such cheaters, which is why I kept a whip handy in my invent just in case. So basically the duel starts, he pulls out his whip, and after about 3 seconds of confusion I pull out mine and end him for a free 2m ^_^ .
Anyway, here are the results of my day:

Basically my method was simple. Anyone who's familiar with roulette knows this method, and you may have even heard about it in rs. Every time you box (if you're opponent has the same stats as you; in my case, maxed melee), you have a ~50% chance of winning. So to start out, I stake 2m (or 3m, switch it up sometimes). If I win, good for me, I stake 2m again. If I lose, I stake 4m. If I lose that, I stake 8m. And so on. Eventually I win, and I'm up 2m. I then start over and stake 2m again till I lose. And so on. All those little 2m profits add up, and I went up 38m in 3 hours and over 30+ stakes, so I'd say around 12m/hr isn't too bad . This method is obviously flawed however, in that every time you lose you HAVE to have double the cash to back it up. Luckily I have 600m+ in the bank though so I'm not too worried, as it is EXTREMELY statistically unlikely that I'll lose 9 times in a row and get cleaned (around a .19% chance) . The most I ever lost was 5 times in a row, which resulted in me staking 36m, which I won.

So yeah, that's my method. Not for everyone, but it's a damn good way to make cash with comparatively little risk imo.

^Staked 2m, lost, staked 5m lost, staked 10m lost, then staked 20m and won. 20m - (2m+5m+10m+) = +3m

Very nice bro, I was going to start staking on my nearly maxed melee but I heard there were a lot of bug abusers staking. Did you find anyone that healed or hit a second or two before the count down?

 

Heh, used this strategy at Star City casino (if anyone's familiar with the casinos in sydney) and I won around $100

Part of the motivation for that work was to show the impossibility of successful betting strategies.
boxing is always a coinflip or a roulette unless you bet lower levels.
So I'm not going to do maths but basically you are risking very little 600M to win very little profit
if you do this enough times to double up to 1.2B that 0.19% would have been done exactly as many times to make the probability of loosing 9 times in a row equal to 50%

In another words you are getting 1:1 odds on each bet for sure.
You could save your time by betting your 600M in one box.
the odds for loosing all your money are 0,19% (1:600) per fight and in order to double up you'll do this 600 times. Makes sense now? basically 1 in 600 fights you will loose all your money and in 599 you'll win 1M. So your equity is always 50% and you are GAMBLING, so in 12 hours you'll either double up or loose it ALL!
Either stake set amounts, switch rules, take advantage of weaker players, do counter scams or quit stakeing cause its just a gamble and you loose your time cause you could be doing a 600M stake.

Clearly there's no flawless way to make money in a 50/50 situation. However, one way we overcame this at roulette was to set monetary goals (e.g. reach $50 and quit). It's true that as you approach infinity, your chances of ending up where you started is 1, but the trick is to play over shorter time periods and quit when you're ahead. Honestly, martingale is better than just picking random amounts (mathematically untrue if you have infinite money) since you'll at least be staking for a longer time

 

Yep, system's got an official name, "Martengale Method" or something like that. Basically any 50:50 betting system, double your bet if you lose, reset when you win. Works in ANY 50:50 betting system unless "the house" takes some of the money or something similar.

Great method to use, as well. Really really hard to get fully cleaned, especially if your starting amount is low.

 

I've been using the following method for the past day. I've made over 10m staking. It's all luck. It's a 50/50 chance at winning, but when using your intuition you can sort of assume when you're next loss/win will be and stake accordingly. Maybe it's just my luck, but I try to guess and I normally lose my 1m stakes, and end up winning the 10m stakes.

Very true, this method is better if u have a higher cash pile or bet in smaller amount lowering the chance of loosing everything.
