Hi, i have tons of knowledge on this topic, mainly because: I AM 99 FIREMAKING. So please, use this guide if you go for 99.

Method 1: Cheap free to play way



1. Do levels 1-15 with normal logs. Just chop 'em yourself. Burn anywhere. 1-15 firemaking will be about 61 logs. This is from level 1 with little to no Firemaking exp. If you plan to buy, it'll cost about 1,380 gp. (Grand Exchange Jan 8, 2009)



2. Do levels 15-30 with oak logs . Once again, just chop 'em yourself. Burn anywhere. 15-30 firemaking will be about 183 oak logs. If you plan to buy, it will cost approx. 4,758 gp. (G.E Jan 8, 2009)



3. Do levels 30-99 with willow logs. I would suggest cutting willow logs until bored with woodcutting, and buying when possible. Best places for firemaking for a long time are as follows: FOG (Fist of Guthix, probably the best place!), Edgeville, Draynor, Camelot, The Grand Exchange, and Falador. You will need to burn 144,679 willow logs for your goal of 99 Firemaking (from 30). If you plan to buy all willow logs from 30 Firemaking, it will cost approx. 2,604,222 gp. (G.E Jan 8, 2009)



*NOTE* If you plan to buy all the way from 1 Firemaking, it will cost approx. 2610810 gp. If you cut your own willows and burn to 70 Firemaking, the cost of 70-99 Firemaking using willows will be approx. 2,459,376 gp. (G.E Jan 8, 2009) Good luck on using this method, although it is much longer than the other method, its saves approx. 1.2 million gp. There are tips and tricks at the end of this Topic. Next is the Quicker method.

Method 2: Quicker Method F2p.

3. Do levels 30-70 using willow logs. Since this is the faster method, just buy the logs. 30-70 firemaking will be 8,048 willow logs. You should burn these at FOG (Fist of Guthix, probably the best place!), Edgeville, Draynor, Camelot, The Grand Exchange, and Falador. If you want to buy the willow logs from 30-70, it will cost approx. 144,864 gp. (G.E Jan 9, 2009)



4. The Final Stretch! Do levels 70-99 with maple logs.. Since maple trees can only be cut in P2p (pay to play, members), you will have to buy ALL the logs for 99 Firemaking. You will need to burn 91,088 maple logs for 99 Firemaking. This will cost approx. 3,461,344 gp. (G.E Jan 9, 2009)



*NOTE* If you buy all your logs beginning at level 1 Firemaking, you will need approx. 3,482,796 gp. (G.E Jan 9, 2008) This method of getting 99 Firemaking is much quicker than the first one, but approx. 1.2 million gp more. Next I will show tips and tricks of 99 Firemaking! big grin

Tips n Tricks for getting 99 Firemaking.



If you are truly serious about accomplishing 99 Firemaking, please watch this video, go to youtube.com and type in, "how to have fm,fun" and choose the first video. Please read the pop ups that are in the video. This is a way to help fight boredom when fming, I found this by myself. Also, when Firemaking, if nobody is in "we chat here" cc, join a cc like "runescape" or "lol". Those cc's has also helped me with the boredome. I do hope this helped with your goal of 99 Firemaking. If you are wanting to just get 85 Firemaking or something like that, leave a response here of your level, your total experience, and what type of logs you are using.
