Problems with parents

Alright, this is sort of a long story you been warned.

When i was 8 my dad was cheating on my mom and of course i didn't truely understand what was happening they got divorced, my dad met my step mom where they work and a thing that disturbs me deeply is that he did it in the house we were living in at the time. That i understood i wasn't pleased with him when i found out.

I'm now sixteen just down about life in general, I do football wrestling and so on my grades suck i try my best they just won't go up. But what i really want help with is Both my mom and dad drink, my mom drinks when she thinks of my grandma died of cancer (i was very close to her and was there when she finialy passed away.) she was the care taker in her final days. My dad I don't know why he drinks so much, his mom also passed away with cancer too, all of this happened within a year so i just didn't know what to do.. what could you do?? But my question is I have a surge of hatred towards both of them when they get drunk.. like to the point i want to hit them i have no clue why.

And don't get me wrong i love both of them dearly, i just can't stop myself from thinking bad things happening while they're drunk.. Anyone have any advice would be awesome.

 

I'm focusing on the school part.

Just stick with it man, try to get all your work done. I'm the type of person who never sits down to study for the test and always ends up getting a bad grade. However, I make sure I either copy or do every homework assignment so that I still have a good grade even when I fail the tests. Try looking into that.

As for the parents part, maybe try talking to them. Explain your situation and why you get upset that they drink. I'm assuming you don't drink since you hate it when your parents drink?

Just hold your head up, many opportunities in life and experiences coming up after school.

 

Its not your fault that you are suffering because that they are drinking, the best thing you could do is get them some treatment if they become alcoholics..., Alcholics are not stabile persons....they often need help.
