    Looking for a external Hard Drive

    That external HDD is only USB 2.0. The latest technology is USB 3.0 which is a lot faster, something you may want to consider if you are going to be managing large amounts of data (If you are looking for a 1-2TB, I assume you will be).

    I would suggest something like this, if speed is relevant.

    Western Digital is also, in my opinion, the best brand for hard drives.

    Looking for a external Hard Drive

    As mentioned above, Western Digital is good. I own a WD 1 TB, and have had it for about a year now. No problems. I don't use it heavily though, only for making backups.

    Looking for a external Hard Drive

    Western digital or Seagate. Another option is to buy a large drive and hard drive enclosure, that way you can switch out drives as you see fit. I've had a WD drive since 05 and it still works perfectly, and I use it a lot.
