This no doubt. Had my good days and my rougher days around here but I am still here and am enjoying it.

 

I know that feel bro :/ I remember seeing your pardon and other posts in the dispute forum while you were banned. You seemed distraught

Maybe not a great story, but i definitely have to agree. I'm definitely just another average Sythe user, but i've made quite a few friends on here. A few i can actually text from time to time and talk about life and what's going on. When i came to Sythe, i too wanted to be well trusted too. For me, there's something special about Sythe that makes it much more socially friendly than other forums. People build good friendships rather than just being in the same place. Could never fathom leaving the community as of now, i just like it and the people too much, and i don't even know that many people!

I really hope to become friends with more of you all in the future, and make my impact in the community.

 

You guys are some of my favorite people in the world. You guys have no idea how much you truly do. If anybody wants a corny paragraph lemme know, this shit is deep.

Distraught isn't even the word, not by a long shot. I was seriously going out of my mind in anticipation of the result of the voting. You can ask anyone who was actively speaking to me at the time. I was a complete and utter wreck.

I'm almost glad that I got banned now. (And I thank any mods who supported my pardon a year ago. If anyone can tell me who they were I'd appreciate it.)

Between 2007 when I joined and this time a year ago Sythe was just a site. My original reason for coming back to Sythe August of last year was for some personal support due to my extended depression, regarding my ex-girlfriend. I boxed my self in my room for a month and started botting on Runescape for the first time. Fastforward a month and I began to use the market once again. I felt a bit trusted; made some money botting for people and re-selling RsBuddy scripts and such but never really explored deeper. It was just as I found the spam forum that Sin666 rightfully banned me for evasion and some offenses that I had completely forgotten about. I immediately made a pardon after a long conversation with Sin and got through. 4 weeks after the pardon hit USL I was finally unbanned (I had given up hope.) All of my business was gone at this point due to the nuke but I vowed to get into the community: This MASSIVE part of Sythe (including its history) which I had never explored. Well a year later I'm here still and love it just as much if not more. But I wouldn't be here without people like Sin

(but really, if anyone can did that pardon up for me, I would love to thank those who supported me. All I remember is Mohtasa)

 

I've read so many posts on this thread about people being banned (including staff members) and writing pardons to get back to this site that I feel so special now.

 

I had always prided myself on having never being banned (not even a temp). So it cut deep when that whole fiasco involving Finn and tc went down, and I was removed as a result.

Yeah I assumed so. Like I said I was banned at the time and didn't really know you, I only just lurked Sythe occasionally because I missed it. I know the feeling though, I'm sure if you asked HamJam about how I felt when I was banned, I was crying and he was pretty good helping me out. It probably took me a month for it to stop impacting my daily life. Even then, I lurked the site for a year and one of the best feelings of my life was being able to login again January this year.

Yeh, sythe is part of my life too. If not Sythe users (noob1337, grave, arcus, n4n0 and all my kiln/fcape/skilling customers) I wouldn't have new computer and good reputation I'm planning to stay here until nothing will hold me here, but it wont happen soon ;P Also sythe is full of helpful users (Irl support and virtual support-games etc), that's nice to feel there is ALWAYS somebody that might give you an idea how to solve an problem

 

Well, I discovered Sythe some time around early 2010, I made an account half way through the year asking for something along the lines of a Player Mod at the time. My first impression of the site was pretty shit has I was banned within 15 minutes of registering due to spamming/bad attitude.

I went "fuck it" and left for a few months. I came back around November-December and decided I really wanted to get into the site (was quite addicted at the time). I decided I wanted a fresh start though, so I created a new account and requested a ban on my old one. The first thing I did on my new account was read through the rules of the site.

My first purpose of coming here was running my old MW2 lobby shop, it was successful on a small scale and brought in around £50 for me. Between 2010 - June 2011 I was mostly in the Market and paid little attention to the Community side of things. I imagine I must have sat right through the Finn drama at the beginning of 2011. By August I was completely involved in the Community side of things, I'd found my way into the spam forum and I was very active in the Minecraft section at the time (along with Tony and x339). When November hit, I closed my MW2 lobby service as MW3 was out and ever since I have paid very little attention to the Market side of things. I buy RSGP every few months here and there but the majority of my time is spent in Off-Topic or the Community section, I drop into RS a lot also but don't play or post in it as much as I used to.

The only two people who probably know/remember me before late 2011 would probably be Kina and Wolfdog, I knew Kina through making me a new signature and my avatar (still used today), as for Wolfdog I think I added him through Steam seeing as hardly any Sythe members at the time had Steam (or at least that I knew about it).

In the middle of January I decided to finally donate to the site, however PayPal wasn't available to me at the time so I had Kina donate on behalf of me. I then donated $45 to the site at the beginning of April which someone I would consider a friend generously gave me $55 to pay people for the UIs I had made when I was mod and to donate the rest to the site.

Around January 2012 was when I would say I was starting to get known and recognised across the site, I was in the SF a lot and I started jumping in TinyChat's (n4n0's ones are a prime example). Then around the middle of February I was promoted to RS Mod that of which I thought would never have happened from day one of coming here. Everyone pretty much knows what happened after that; demotion, Spam Forum/IRC drama etc;

Up to today I'm still reasonably active and post a decent amount across the site. I've made quite a few friends since the start of 2012 and hope to make more as time goes by.

Apparently the reasons I was given were not the real reasons, Finn had given my name, along with the irc users to Sythe when he purged the site of all those users. As a result, my account was deleted :\

I didn't actually find out the real reason until I had posted that dispute (like 2 years after the actual banning occured. If you scroll down on the above thread, Govind's post (#10) was the first I had heard of it).

I was pretty pissed off when I was banned. By the time I found out that my account had been deleted, I had accepted that I wouldn't be returning so that didn't really affect me. It was mainly the banning and the surrounding circumstances.

 

I'm pretty new to the site, and this site is pretty fun. I've met some people, and would like to meet others. There is a lot of scammers/flamers/complete douche bags sure, but even so.. Sythe is just a great site and I hope to be with it for awhile.

I agree. I was overwhelmed by everything in my life towards the later part of my summer for a bit over a month.

I hate to sound so "lovey dovey", but it really felt like I was missing a part of myself, not talking to friends I did daily.

I wouldn't try so hard to promote activity and to promote this site to other people if it didn't mean a lot to me.
