Alright your main problem here is cohesion. I could name like 6/10 of the effects you used because of one main issue: lack of blending elements.

It's vital in graphic design to make your piece feel like a solid, unified work, so there needs to be some sort of blending, whether it be through a color palette, similar effects, or adjusting levels/curves. Also, don't be afraid to mess with the effects. Throw some filters on em and make them look better.

Just keep on going man; you're getting there

Not a fan of the border, also its a bit too bright. 100 times better than me tho.

 

It looks too busy for me. The energy lines are going in every direction which is bad as no flow is established and then there is the lightning in the background which feels like there is too much happening in the picture. The second version looks a bit better imo but the lighting, specifically the middle flare is way too bright and out of place. It's positioning indicates that something in the background is creating the flare but then this overlaps the text as if it was in front of the text, which looks a bit out of place.

 

Looks like you are getting better but like said above that flare of light is really bright it has started to hurt my eyes lol. . I personally prefer number 1 I dunno it is just something about it that just seems like it is physically better and more appealing to me even though it is probably not.

I will work on flow and contrast the next time.

 

I like the 2nd one alot! Just not a fan of the flares going across the L; seem a bit out of place. I do like all of the flares coming out of the light though

 

Okey dokey buddy don't take any of this personally because we've all been there. You're main problem is that you use way to many stocks. The only thing that was probably created by you in that piece was the text itself. My advice to you is to get creative and make aspects of the image yourself. Now I know it can't happen overnight, just keep practicing
