    Locking your own thread

I think people should be able to lock and their own thread if somebody is going too offtopic or is spamming your thread. Why not just lock it? Also it will reduce unecessary bumping of other clean threads. What do you guys think?

Yeh, option of locking/unlocking YOUR own topic would be good idea.
Ofcourse you could only unlock it, only if you locked it, not moderator/admin.

It would help out a lot, and make a lot of things easier, but this idea will never get accepted.

I do not think that mod powers would be given to users.... :/

No support from me. If you feel a thread is becoming an issue, just tell a mod to do it.

Mods cannot go through every single thread and lock every one of them. It is just too time consuming, so why not let the users help a bit? Though this doesn't affect mods, as they can still lock and unlock your thread as well.

Everyone above has answered your question.

    1. Thats what MOD's are there for.
    2. They wouldn't give Moderator Permissions to users.

Sounds like a good idea, but then what would mods be good for besides assigning penalties?

    Locking your own thread

I had already suggested this long ago, and it got denied because the mods/admins believe that us as users should not contain such power...
Although alot of people found this to being a good idea...

Anyhoo, just depend off the Mods, that's what they're for.

I agree... A mod may not be on and you need to be able to lock it quickly

I think this is a great idea, maybe even the option to delete your thread. At the same time deleting the thread would be controversial, as if you got hacked but had a great thread =/

For their own reasons. And it would make it easier for mods.

I don't see a reason why not to, unless the mods wanting to be selfish and want to have "power" over it, which I see utterly pointless and idiotic.

i dont think its a mod having the "power" how easy would it be for someone to scam someone boom lock thread.... how many people actually read the report a scammer section. i do before trades, but still most people just look on threads. mayb they can have a " request lock thread " button on your topic.

If the thread is locked it will cut down on spamming and leave it up to the staff to FULLY go through the scammer reports.
