Thread about notable users current skype status

So, as we all know, many of the users on this forum are having their skype accounts hacked and I think that to make it easier to know whether or not to trade with one of these members skypes and make it easier to organize we can throw together a thread and pin that thread somewhere noticable/ easy to see for everybody from all market pages/homepage. Could simply have the name of the user hyperlinked to their profile then off to the side the current status of their accounts like "Safe" or "Not safe" Just a suggestion please critic and discuss!

 

its not really safe to trade with anyone via skype right now. Just ask for a PM if you're going to be trading.

Well, just remember to keep asking for PM before doing a trade. That is the least you can do for yourself without getting scammed.

 

No Support. Wouldn't be updated quick enough; so it may say safe for an unsafe user.

 

Now that I saw this suggestion, I got an idea: What about adding a rank in User Center, availabe for everyone to use, that says "DON'T TRADE IN SKYPE"? This way, if your Skype get hacked you can simply go to User Center and pick the rank to use it. It catches more attention than adding a huge red text in your sig saying "MY SKYPE IS HACKED" or something. And would also be more efficient than a thread containing hundreds of skype adresses.

But anyway, asking for a PM is always the best way to go. I just felt like putting in words the idea I just had, meh. Sorry if I went too off-topic. =P

 

People may abuse this feature if it was implemented.

 

I don't mind not having the thread, we just need something better for the new users that don't know to request a pm when talking offsite.

 

Unnecessary and not worth the upkeep.
