How do you make a good main?

I'm currently making two accounts which I'm trying to turn into mains. I've never actually had a good main in Runescape, only pures.

In what order is it more beneficial to raise combat stats? I'm staying F2P until I have decent stats. Over the past two days I was able to get 40 Melee stats and 50 rune crafting on both of my accounts. I'm just trying to find a good way to raise the skills all together to make a decent main out of both accounts.

 

Well, mains are the easiest type of account to plan - level everything to 99 and unlock everything.

For combat, the most time efficient way to max multiple skills is to train your combat through slayer & dungeoneering, since those will rocket you well past the 13m exp for 99 if you train them separately. Do daily/weekly/monthly challenges for easy exp, Jagex hands it over at a ridiculous pace now.

 

I would afk train in the stronghold at spiders 55-70 in all, then make member and afk at nmz. thats the best route to take i think
