I'm currently torrenting Halo 3 ODST, and I was wondering if I followed that tutorial if I would need to mod my 360 in any way? I REALLY want to play burned games (Even if it's just offline, I don't want to get console banned from XBL) but I do not want to mod my console.

Also, for anybody who has bought membership at www.everything4360.com is that youtube tutorial essentially the same thing? If so, then I would think it is safe to assume that I wouldn't need to mod my Xbox if I did what that tutorial says.

Any help is appreciated, and a 1 month will go to anybody who can get it working. I may give you a RS pure too if you can tolerate my idiocy enough to help me through it all too

 

You have to flash your xbox 360 HDD to play burned games.

 

According to that website (which sounds a lot like the youtube tutorial) there are no mods necessary, apparently it's all about the way you burn the DVD and it can fool it into thinking its a legit CD (they even go as far to say you can go on XBL with them and play matchmaking.. I've seen videos of people doing it also)

 

Who knows, sounds like a scam to me I don't think thats possible.
But hey, what do I know?

Also, if you must flash your firmware, i would suggest getting another xbox 360 console that you won't sign in online

 

That is from 2 and a half years ago, that video and website more specifically are more recent.

I can also find another one I watched that showed him playing it on matchmaking etc, which you wouldn't be able to do with a flashed firmware. I'll edit it when I find it..

Same guy in both videos, but you get the idea. He plays Halo 3 matchmaking in one of them on a burned disc. You wouldn't be able to do that on a flashed firmware.. he goes on and on about the site and how they teach you how to "stealth patch" it, sort of like the video in the OP describes.

 

To play games like that im pretty sure you have to mod something in your xbox

Also, you can only play offline, good chance of getting banned if you play online.

As stated above.. you wont get banned for playing offline.. my friend has 30+ torrent ed games he just plays offline dont want your 1 month/RS acc just trying to provide an answer

 

You have to flash your xbox 360 to play burned games. Burned games are playable and safe online as long as they are stealth patched. Waiting on my 1 month

I think I may have figured it all out now, just looking to find out if I can get banned even if I don't use backups online/play them before they're released/play on a Xbox Live profile.. if anybody can provide definitive answers to that question then I will give you a 1 month and a f2p pure (40 1 58, not much but it's a decent start to a f2p pure )

 

Nope you wont be banned. Only thing you can get banned is playing online games without patching them or playing a game not released online. If you play a game not released offline, play it on a profile you dont go online with. Ex. you play a game offline on your xbl profile, when you sign on it is noticed in your played games list. They will tag you and ban you sooner or later. So basically:1. You can't get banned for modding your console.2.Stealth patch online games.3.You can play unreleased games just offline.. 1 Month please?

Lol, you gonna have to flash it, I gave you links on how to do it and also note on a modded console u will have a chance of being banned only if u host games... Mainly only way Microsoft will find you out

This was his method guys.. "Go to download a game to your HDD and before you hit start emergency eject put the burned disc in and install"

Not only would that most likely not even work, I have 3GB of hard drive space that I can't free up because I'm not losing DLC to play burned games (I have sold the accounts they were purchased on).. I'd rather flash my shit. He says I scammed him because he didn't tell me there was a requirement, one which obviously some people might not meet.

This isn't anywhere on the internet, I've googled/youtubed etc this method and found nothing.

 

OH btw guys apparently he hasnt got the code "on hand", therefor he doesnt have a code.

 

If someone had provided a way to do it without flashing my drive or anything then I would've bought a code from someone like Feren Silver.. but since obviously there is no way to play burned games without flashing, I don't think I'll be needing to get one.

I just tried your method just to chance it with a burned copy of Guitar Hero 5 that I just got last night and it didn't work. You fail pretty hard lol.

 

I didn't think it was possible just using a burned game on a normal drive.

It isn't lol. He made up some bullshit trying to scam me of the one month. As soon as he told me the method he was like "1 month now plz" blah blah lol

I tested the method and it doesn't even work lol
