We need hackers. Its required for security advancement.

But there's hacking and there's disruption for the fun of it - he should be punished. Helping the Finnish cybercrime division may rehabilitate him and give him a new road in life where he can be a helpful hacker and not a disruptive one. Rehab is always better than punishment where possible.

Completely agree, I think putting him in prison would have a negative impact on him whereas rehab could be helpful for him to start a new road.

Should of gotten a longer sentence imo this guy is a scumbag and at his age his personality isnt going to differ too much a couple years from now.
