Regarding my personal information

I don't know if this is the correct place to put this,
but my older brother used to be a member of this site a few years ago and he was a gp seller, but got banned. However, He made a post that had his name and address on it (which is also my address).
It's been years now but it bothers me his old post shows up on the first page of google results if someone searches for his name.

Is it possible to get this removed? I don't want my address on the internet especially linked with my older brother's name. A couple months back I sent a message to the administrator but it didn't happen.

 

I don't see anyone going around searching for addresses on Google. >_> If it's a real old post no one will go back to it to check for your address, an if it was your brother's post, then it has nothing to do with you even though you live there.

 

How is it that you aren't banned then?

If your brother was banned, and you're at the same address, then you also have the same IP.

In which case the mods would have caught you ban evading since you can't prove whether or not it was your brother who got banned.

 

Wait if someone gets perm banned I think IP ban comes along?

 

well regular users use dynamic IPs since it's not possible to have a static.
at least here in Canada anyways.

and I'm not my brother, I don't even have anything to do with him on sythe.


I just want the post removed because my parents searched up his name and wondered why our address shows up on there. They just don't want people over the internet to know where we live just by searching up my bros name.

If he was banned for the most common reason, scamming, he deserves to have his information posted here publicly.

 

yes i would agree with Nick, if he was scamming then thats online fraud and its a criminal offence..

 

I don't know what he was banned for, is it possible for a mod to check then?
and it was his OWN post, couldn't it just be deleted?
Maybe otherwise, if someone else posted it..

Guys come on. This is just somebody not wanting their address and phone number online simply by a name search. There is no need for it to be there, unless a person who lives there scammed a LOT of stuff I think it should be removed.

However it was stupid to post it in the first place.

People who know him in real life... You need to get a life if you can't think that far out of sythe.org.

If they know him in real life, then they know where he lives. But even a criminal's identity and personal information should be hidden for their own protection.

I'd say its up to the owners of sythe and only them.

 

You CAN know a persons name but not know how to get in contact with them...

I agree it should been removed.
I was his brother who did something stupid. This could affect the future of this guy, many bosses today Google's their workers name before heiring them.

Just try to contact a moderator again and get it taken down. For the people who keep saying he deserves it, his brother isn't even suffering anything from this. The only person suffering is the guy who posted this.

Don't be a dick, try to actually act half responsible for once and just fulfill his request.
