Require a deposit

by Staff members and OMM's who are heavily active in the market.

Why?

After roaming around this community, I've noticed that old time members who used to have an OMM status or staff member rank who were also ranked in the market section were banned sometimes because they scammed someone in the market section and for LARGE sums of money.

Why do I believe this should be done to staff members and OMM's and not to others as well?

Because when a staff member or OMM is trading in the market section, EVERYONE already knows they'll end up going first to them, hence, they always risk their items. As for normal members, this isn't the case. And since this is the case with ranked members, the ranked members can always take an advantage of them.

I am NOT stating this should be done for EVERY staff member. What I am saying though is that for ACTIVE ranked members in the market section, this should be a requirements amongst them. For those ranked members that sell stuff in the market section once in awhile, this shouldn't be applied to them.

As for the deposit amount, this can be any reasonable amount. But, I'd think an average of their current sales should be the deposit amount.

Implementing this idea can always pay back those who were scammed by a ranked member at least some portion of what they were scammed for and if the trade was small enough, maybe ALL.

As for who holds the deposit, it can always be Matthew since he's the head donor manager and knows how to handle the money respectfully.

EDIT: This doesn't have to be for the people who are ranked members but, also for those who aren't ranked but, are very trusted and everyone already knows they must go first to them.

As for those who argue that not everyone has this much amount of cash, I said the AVERAGE of their sales and if you are a active seller, you can make a shit ton, don't worry about it.

You must think of people who cannot afford this, though.
Sure, it's a good idea but staff members and OMM were chosen for a reason. They are THE most reputable and honest members of the forum.
I believe that this should apply to trusted MM's possibly? Not OMM's/Staff members

 

Then why not do it for every member at registration?

Feren Silver, Plznate, and more have scammed. I do know that Plznate scammed like $4K and 10B...correct me if I'm wrong?

As for the amount thing, if you are an ACTIVE seller, you will be AMAZED at how much you can make. Not to mention, I said the average of their sales.

Meaning if they sell upgrades for $12 and have about 200+ vouches....you find the average which is very much affordable for their type of sales.

 

If you read the thread, you would know why. Until then, don't be so quick to deny it.
