That is a really bad example, since "colors" are just the visible part of the electro-magnetic radiation spectrum, so all colors have already been discovered and it's impossible to make or find a new color.

I see your point though, and the best sign of this limited imagination, in my opinion, is religion. Because people in ancient times couldn't imagine how physics and the universe works, they made up their own explanations.

What if the electro magnetic spectrum goes further?

Some religions arent the peoples own explanations.

The electro magnetic spectrum does go further, you just can't see more than the little part called "the visible spectrum" which is where the electro magnetic frequencies which we call colors are located.

And name one religion that you can guarantee didn't just start as someone's explanation to what they couldn't understand.

wow! that is a good though about the color spectrum.
i for one believe in God creating heaven and earth in 6 days. i believe it only because there is so much evidence supporting it and because everything against it has almost no plausible evidence. take macro-evolution for example, why do people believe in it when there is no evidence supporting it?

How about this: Think of a sense(ie 5 senses) that doesn't already exist.

If you lived in a society where everyone lacked a sense, how would you know?

A "day" could have been billions of years.

Limited imagination, religion is a very good example, but for the exact OPPOSITE of what you said. As humans, our minds cannot even begin to grasp the concept of God, we can only try to understand some simple ideas about him.

Our imagination is limited in a way. No shit we can't think of a color that doesn't exist, because guess what? IT DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST FOR US TO THINK OF IT! Sorry for the outburst, I don't deal well with horrible examples.

Pfft! Evidence for the existence of God. It doesn't exist unless you believe the well-refuted claims of Creation Psuedoscientists. They are they only "scientists" that claim there is no evidence for evolution. Another thing: why is it that creation and evolution are always opposing each other? Don't the religious bigots see that they could have both happened? If they would get that through their heads then there would be no reason to make false scientific claims desperately attempting to find any reason to believe evolution didn't happen.

That's certainly a testement to your intelligence.

As far as limited imagination, I think that goes without saying. We can't fathom thing such as infinate or a time before time.

I personally believe in both evolution & religion..I mean.. Bible was written by man into SERVERAL different languages, I imagine there has to be mistakes Somewhere? maybe he manipulated somthing that WE can comprehend. Because honestly, like many of you said previously, we can't even COMPREHEND his power or his existance.

By the way: Your Example Sucks.

My imagination is unlimited. I have imaged things that no one has never seen or thought about.

I know that, but what if the unseeable part goes further than what we have discovered.

Islam, christianity and judaism. But I dont know how one can guarantee such thing for you.

In islam the words of the quran came down directly to the prophet Muhammad. A man that could not read and only knew one language to speak. He never went to school or learned anything other than what he discovered himself.

I doubt that he could make up facts that are newly discovered in the modern world.

No living human knows the early judaism or christianity, but I supose that they were somewhat the same as the Quran.

example : Try to think of a colour that doesnt' exsists, it's impossible because our minds can only think of the colours like red, green, yellow, blue (what you can imagine)

    Think and discuss =)[/QUOTE]

The reason we can't think of anymore colours is because we've found every single colour that exists. Learn some basics physics about light and colour.
