I did this with my previous clan,

TOO many users are joining up posting useless shit and getting post count for it, why? Because people who are new here still have the habbit of trusting someone who has a high post count and either they want to abuse that fact or simply look more respected than they are.

So my proposal is to simply limit the number of posts/day/week/month which actually count towards a users post count. This will cut down on useless spam and stop leecher scamming nubs from making delusional people trust them because of a high post count.

Also I don't think posts in Market sections should be counted towards post count either, this will also run down the number of posts people get from bumping their topics etc. A post count should reflect the number of intelligent things the user has had to say on the site, not how many times they can click a button hit "lol" and hit another button.

    My two cents.

I don't think we should limit sections where post's don't count for post counts, but maybe limit the actual posts.

Posts that are only a couple words, such as bump, lol, i agree, etc... shouldn't count for post count.

Also people should know not to look at point count, if someone's post per day is over 10-15 then people should be smart to know that they recently joined and spammed a hell lot.

Indeed people SHOULD know not to look at post count, but that doesn't stop them. I had NO problem trading with people when I had 1200 posts, then when sythe got hacked last year I lost those 1200 posts and have had problems non stop. Why because poeple are stupid and look at post count, therefor we should make post count actually mean something and stop people from abusing it.

well i agree im usually in the blackmarket section and dont think my posts there should count. cause i gotta always post "adding you" "add me " useless crap like that. and it gets my post up. same goes for just plain old spammers there. people make multiple acocunts made like yesterday and vouch/post in the sellers or just go around the market place spamming

I don't think this is needed one bit. Sure, there is tons of spam on this board, and nothing being done about it. But there is also a lot of meaningful posts.
