Likelyhood of a Newcomer Selling an Acc

Hi! So I'm new to Sythe, and basically new to RS. I helped my dad make an account in 2008, and he played A LOT. He passed away last year, and after trying a few times to get into playing the game, I decided it wasn't for me. I've had a few people tell me it's worth something to sell because he's high level, But I see that it's only likely to be bought here if I've sold something before. Would it be better to sell it elsewhere, or should I just try here anyway?

Edit: My dad was my best friend. You know not of our relationship, the situation, or how he felt about this game. Before he passed, he hadn't logged in to the game for over a year. He told me he didn't like how many people bothered him on the game while he played. The most I ever played this game with him was clicking where he told me while he went to bathroom. I was very close with my dad, and knew him and his wishes way more than anyone on here. In the current situation, I feel he would want me to do what I could, and this is it. If you are not necessarily trying to be helpful, or are questioning my moral standing as a person, please PM me so we could chat it out, as I'm just searching for advice here

 

What the fuck, why wouldn't you keep the account as a memory of your dad?
You're just going to sell the account for a quick buck?

 

^ this. I suggest you don't sell it, this is a memory of your dad and obviously something you two did together. I suggest keeping it as your dad worked hard for it as an accomplishment. I suggest you try getting back into the game once more, or just let the account be. Let you and your dad be the only people who play on that account, ever.

The memory of my dad is in the time he spent with me. Not in a game.

 

We didn't play together. I helped him make it because he didn't know how to use a computer very well.

 

Doesn't matter man, that memory is worth more than any money in the world.

I'd suggest keeping the account. The amount of money you will get out of it is worthless compared to the sentimental value, without having reputation of sales.

If you really do wish to sell the account I suggest AccountWarehouse or PlayerAuctions. You'll have to go through a pretty demanding process for sales, and receive a pretty lowballed offer. But at least it will get sold.

 

I'd keep the acc if I were you but ultimately obviously its up to you. Try PA

 

It's not easy to sell an account as a newcomer, I'm trying to get a reputation built on here by buying/selling accounts, items and services but it's rough trying to get started.

 

If you honestly don't care about the account and just want to get rid of it for some quick money, then just sell it anywhere... you'll get at least something. (depends on how good the account is, ofc).

I don't know if the story you told is true or not, but regardless, I find absurd how some people here feel entitled to tell you what you should/shouldn't do or feel towards the account.

Just because it belonged to his father doesn't mean it has any sentimental value to his son. Maybe he finds value in the clothes he left behind, or pictures, or simply the memories.. fuck off telling him what to do.

 

You most likely won't be able to sell it without some trust, and if you try and put it at a really low price to compensate for lack of trust, people will think that somethings fishy and not even bother. So either way, your pretty much screwed on that front.

I would list on Player Auctions but it is quite the process, it really just depends on what the account itself has on it in terms of stats/bank, etc.

 

Very unlikely since accounts can easily be recovered. You would need to be a trusted person to sell. Someone like Won Gold or Bogla

 

Likelyhood of selling? High.

Likelyhood of selling for any kind of decent price? Low.
