Is hunting wrong?

From viewing other posts, it seems that many of you are hunters. As I am strictly against hunting, I was wondering why you think it is a good thing.

 

Most states have hunting seasons when there are lot of a certain type of animal and you can hunt them. If your killing of extra animals then I'd say it's alright.

But if your killing endangered species then I think it is very wrong.

 

Hunting for pleasure is reprehensible regardless if the specie is endangered or not. By pleasure, I am referring to enjoyment, and not the pleasure when one eats.

Why are the lives of animals of marginal importance? Further, killing for enjoyment is simply asinine. Go play pokemon, or read books fucking animals.(yep...irony)

 

there is a limited food supply and if hunters do not kill a portion of them then a whole lot of them will starve.

there are certain times of year when you can hunt certain animals and even then there are open seasons and limited ticket seasons. that is, when animals are in abundance and are outgrowing their food supply animals can be killed in more unregulated fashions. however, if there are only a few that need to be killed, a limited number of tickets will be given to people who enter a lottery type contest allowing them to kill one of that animal each

 

I only condone it if you use every part of the animal, like the Native Americans. Killing just to kill is wrong.

 

Hunting for sport is wrong. Hunting with the intent on eating what you kill and not wasting it is fine with me.

 

I agree with jaws, hunting is wrong just for the sake of killing, but if you need to eat and use the furr to keep warm then its fine

Although, if there is like pest control needed for example lots of fox's or something then i think that is okay too.

 

I agree. I think that we should treat animals peacefully.

 

-Hunting helps regulate over population. Some times to many animals cna be a bad things.

-How else are we going to get meat? You can't just live off veggies you need protein.

-Hunting as been around since the cave men. It' a basic survial skill. However hunting just to kill something i find retarded. Same with fishing if your not going to eat it don't do it.



This is coming from someone who has lived in the south his whole life and lived on 1200 acres of farmland/woods/swamp. I also farm still to this day.

Like others sad Hunting for the enjoyment is cruel, Hunting for survival is good. The world is all about survival, humans just happen to be a 'superior' species and take advantage of this.

 

Actually you can. The best diet is a raw food diet. Eating meat is actually unhealthy.

i am kind of torn on the matter.

I only dont support hunting because people feel no remorse...sometimes are even happy.. when killing all these living beings then find severe problems with the killing of another human... whether it be from murder or an animal who kills them.

TBH that really pisses me off. I fucking hate the arrogance of humans and the savage hypocrisy our species condones.

 

Hunting for mounts in wrong in my opinion. People who go hunt solely to stuff the animal, or i've even seen people kill just to cut off the head to mount. It anger's enough people around where i hunt, to the point where some bigger deer have been tranquilized and had the antlers cut off, so if a hunter wants a big deer, its to feed his family not his ego.

Personally, i only hunt 500+ yard game. I figure anything closer and the odds werent fair.

Without those amino acids, your body would use the muscular growth acids for energy, instead of using the energy acids because you dont have enough.

 

Protein from plants are adequate. People don't have to eat meat.

fish and chicken can be consider meat. Beef isn't the only thing.

 

Plenty of vegans look healthy.

 

As an avid hunter and also somebody who is into animal right what I would like to say to you who think hunting is wrong heres what I have to say..

Poaching is wrong, It ruins the cycle of life
hunting on season, helps the cycle of life remain normal.

humans are hunters, we always have been. If we stopped hunting all together, not only would game starve.. but the entire ecosystem would be disrupted.

So.. kill an animal ethically or let the ecosystem collapse..
