Change the "Note" When Reporting a Post

Whenever you try to report a post, you see this message.

"Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts."

However, in my experience the "Report a Post" feature is to be used for other things too. For example, it is the quickest way to get mod attention when wanting threads locked that are dangerous (Hacking, Phishing, etc.) or just simply finished (Resolved, Gravedug, Hijacked, etc.).

So my suggestion isn't a major one. Just wanting to change the "Note" to include instructions to report other kinds of posts. This would encourage people to report more posts and help clean up the community.

Support. It's also useful for changing titles and requesting that a new topic icon be added.

 

I think it can not be edited folks.

 

Support, people already use it for those things but it might be good for new users.

 

Googled :

ACP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases

In the Search Text field, enter harassment and click on Find

The search results will show the only_used_to_report phrase, click on Edit.

Enter your new text into the Translation textbox and click Save.

So it can be edited.

 

True, but as you said, when I was a new user I didn't know how to report posts that didn't fall under what the note said.
