    Long term goal..failed

My goal was to build muscle on my legs ( cause I used to be fat 2 years ago and wanted to change my life and play sports) and join the highschool soccer team.
Ive been playing for a year now. Last monday were the tryouts, it lasted for 3 days. I had to play with a sprained ankle i got from this dude that purposely stepped on my foot when we were playing, he had metal studded cleats on. So i had to practice with a sprianed ankle for 2 days. Last day, final tryout day, It was kind of better and I ran pretty well, it still hurted though. So the coach divided us in two teams and we played 45 min. I was defence. I didnt have chin gaurds on so I was scared to bruise my chin so i played not that defensive. Then this guy comes in top speed and smashed my freaking leg and I walked it off, it was bleeding. And i sucked a$$ the whole game worried about my leg and didnt want the other one to get bruised. Now I am cut off the team, with 10 more other guys.

My goal Ive been going for...has failed.
I am so sad and angry.

Im sorry mate, having your hardwork thrown away sucks.

My reccomnedation is to set another goal for yourself. As much as it sucks to have failed (not your fault) settting another goal will help!

Sorry to hear you didn't make the team.
There is always next year you can make the team.
You might want to make sure you have all your gear for Soccer before you try out again, lol.
I played for my school Soccer team (didn't go this year though) and I never was cut.
Make sure you practice all Summer and jog, jog, jog!
Your skills could be horrible, but if you have good stamina the coach will definitely be interested in you.
Good luck on trying to make the team if you go for it again!

If you were serious about making the team you should have worn shin guards. The coach probably didn't take you seriously since you didn't even bother to wear what a normal soccer player would.

I'm not surprised you were cut if you didn't even come to tryouts with the proper gear. Just make a new goal, and continue on. Not everything works out the way you want it to, welcome to life. Hope you have better luck in the future.

Okay so things didn't turn out like you hoped - but thats okay. Have you even looked back at how you were 2 years ago compared to now? Can you now see that it was all worth it, even if you didn't make it into the team? You're not fat, and you've become athletic. That's more than a lot of people can accomplish ;)

Go for something else man, find another sport, or maybe keep up your fitness at the gym and focus on other parts of life beside sport.

Judging by your spelling and what not I am guessing you are still young, you have tones of time to get into the team.
Get hurt is scary but you will have to sacrifice a bit of pain if you want to get to the top :p
