Just making sure -- its now impossible to play without verifying e-mail?

Is there any way to avoid verifying the e-mail on an EoC account? There used to be a x you could click when it asked to verify your e-mail. Now it appears there's no way to get past that screen. "You must verify your e-mail to continue your adventure"

Just verifying there's absolutely no way around this?

 

I've noticed this as of recent.

 

Use the Gmail (.) system to make this easy to bypass.

With Gmail accounts you can place a period anywhere in the email and all mail will go to the same place.

For example if you make an email like [email protected] then any emails sent to [email protected] will go to the original email. You can place a period anywhere in the email and it still works. This can give you practically an unlimited amount of emails that go to the same place.

 

Is that really how gmail intended that to work? That's unbelievable! If this is true thank you for this information, truly. I never knew that.

 

Yeah, it's always been that way. Gmail doesn't recognize the period, while other registrars do. It's rare, but some registrants recognize Gmail emails and know when you are exploiting this and they don't allow it.

The easiest way to keep track of your gmail accounts like this is to use +1, +2, etc. We had to make hundreds of accounts to prevent imposters @ Dragon Dyce, so all you had to do was make 1 gmail account and all of the confirm emails would be sent to that account for these:

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

etc

Easier to remember than having a period in between random letters.

 

Many registrars don't recognize the + symbol as a valid character in email registration, from what I understand. Either way works well in their own particular cases.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing lately as well. I use to just bypass it although they now require it.
