To join sythe they must have a person vouch for them.

I think there are too many scammers and found a simple idea.

Ban all this scammers for one, but your saying "well they can come back under a different i.p. address"

Yes, but to join sythe from now on they need a vouch from a person on sythe. If the new guy scams the guy who vouched for him gets banned as well. This will make it so people won't vouch for anybody, unless they are sure they won't scam. And this will also stop scammers from joining.

This is how it works

-Adam wants to join sythe because his friend referred him. Travis (his friend) tells him that his sythe name is quittingrsforpsp, he needs to put this under (voucher) place. Once Adam signs up, Travis gets a message saying:


=Hello Quittingrsforpsp,
Your friend "first name:Adam, Last name: Dreakmin" also know as "tookoolforskool" has put you as his voucher. Do you vouch that he will not scam or break any rules? If you do vouch and he does get banned, then YOU will also pay the price. Be wise. Make sure he will not do anything to get you banned. If you do not know the person named above please decline this message.


If this person vouches that he knows the person and trusts him then the guy is approved. Make sure they are not the same i.p. address or anything ok. This will seriously make people think twice before referring people and will stop scammers.


This idea was thought of in about 10 minutes, there are some flaws but I cannot find them yet. Please try to fix this and make this better so scammers would be dealt with.

 

what if I don't know anyone on sythe previously?

 

there would have to be an application process and contacts in order for people to get accepted, which would open up whole new fields on sythe and bring back activity. I like the concept, albeit some tweaking involved.

 

Sythe is old and a lot of people know about sythe. So most people joining now are scammers. I doubt any legit people are joining these days. If they are legit then their friends referred them

and that is what I ment about flaws lol.

I disagree with this suggestion.

I found out about sythe from a person who wasn't even a member, he'd just view the site and add peoples msn to buy pins etc. So if this vouch system was required, i would've been screwed. I never would have been able to go on sythe.

I don't believe most people find out about current members on the site, i think people find out from ex-members or from people that have heard of the forum before but never actually joined.

Won't work.
Most people don't know someone from Sythe, most people won't trust someone who hasn't signed up. Some people will turn into scammers after they get trusted, it's happened many times so the voucher or whatever shouldn't be banned.
Some people only come for the off-topic sections if referred by a friend or along those lines.
It overall just won't work out.

 

This is the Suggestion that would kill Sythe.

You're basically making it so that if one person scams, they also bring another down with them.
-What if the two were best friends, and suddenly turned on one another someday?

Also, Sythe would inevitably die soon enough, for there wouldn't be that many people able to join any longer. These people would require a Vouch in order to join, and most people would not be willing to Vouch for them, because they don't want to risk themselves being banned.
