Whats the blue screen error code? It should give you some crash files as well.

Its not even a blue screen or purple screen e.t.c. Its sort of a greeny grey screen with no code.

Wont Ctrl+Alt+Del, no Alt+F4 e.t.c the only fix is to restart my computer and it loads up fine again.

Going to play a film just so it crashes again and ill take a photo on my phone and upload it in my main post to show the screen.

Its either a driver issue, overheating, or a gpu problem. Just because a PC is new does not mean it is immune from the problems all other PC's have. Best to troubleshoot, also your windows should create a minidump file, I know in Windows 7 it is stored in C:\Windows\Minidump

Try checking in the same directory on Windows 8 and see if there is anything there.

To do a quick test load up prime95 - http://www.overclock.net/t/137251/prime95

and first try stressing just the CPU, if it shuts off there is your culprit, then stress the ram. After that I recommend running furmark to see if its a Graphics card issue. That should help you narrow down the problem. If none of that causes your computer to crash then it could be a driver related issue or a codec possibly and in that case I would recommend you uninstall VLC and reinstall it + any codecs you might have installed.
