1 Defence Pure - What Stats?

Hi, I've just started my 1 defence pure and I have a few questions, the first being what stats should a 1 defence pure have to be most effective in PvP?

A: 99 Attack, 99 Strength, 1 Defence, 99 Constitution, 99 Magic, 99 Range, 1 Prayer - 89 Combat.

B: 75 Attack, 99 Strength, 1 Defence, 99 Constitution, 99 Magic, 99 Range, 1 Prayer - 81 Combat.

Which one would be most effective for its combat level? Are the 8 combat levels worth the sacrifice for the 24 extra attack levels?

Also, what prayer should I get?

I will go for B because there's no need to get 99 Attack, just stay at 75

 

Well, there is a need, to hit more often, don't know if it's worth the cb levels though :/

 

Your going to want about 45 prayer. Doing quests will take you fairly high, but atleast get to 43, 44, or 45!

 

Why 45? Stay with 44 max. No pures smite :/
Maxed isn't always the "best" option because then you're against people with identical stats.

 

Personally I would want to say yes, go with option A 99 attack would be great!
But…no 75 attack would be ideal, It saves you 8 Combat levels which surprisingly enough would and will be worth it if you go with option B, also the extra Attack level are not necessarily needed since your going to be fighting people with what 1-40 defense?

Personally Option B

 

Go with B, 75 attk would tear up 1 def. Do A if you get realllllly bored.

 

Go with option B and be the 'maxed 87'. I think thats what they call it anyway:L (87 cb). Getting 44 prayer, and no more.

You have to take in account, you will be fighting zerks are that level, which will be a tough fight with defence, but if you have AGS, then you should be fine. Infact you could probably almost k0 they're HP. Not only zerks though, you will find tanks around your cb, who will be pretty immense for your cb.

Option A without a doubt.

Yeah, you're gaining 8 more CB levels, but you're gaining SO MUCH more.

Imagine your hits.. woah..

 

B + 52 pray

 

Yeah I'd go with 99 attack and 45 prayer, hits would be massive, and you are still fairly low combat. Aswell as that you have the prayer to back you up.

 

B is better imo, ags owns =) And there 8 cmb levels is still a lot for a pure.

 

I would do B, and it shouldn't get too boring because you'll be 99 range and mage also, you can switch up your pk styles.

 

definitively B because my buddy maxed his pure by getting 99 atk and he regrets it all the people his level are zerker pures and he hates it.

 

A. Although you will raise a good amount of combat levels at level 89 you will hit just about every thing with 99 attack. It will be totally worth it.

 

It depends if you want to PvP or BH. BH means you will verse your levels, and you're best off going for the 75 attack option, as AT your level, few people will have high defence that you'd need the extra 24 attack levels to hit constant with.
However in PvP worlds, the level margin means that you'll be up against higher levels anyways - you might as well max yourself to get the greatest chance.
Also going with the 99 attack option, you'll be up against zerker pures and tankers who have less attack, say 60 attack and claws, who will, as a result of their armour, dominate you, whereas the odds are in your favour at the lower combat level.

 

B. Attack is really overrated on pures. For your level you'll be hitting plenty often.
