If you're on one of the main servers your queue times aren't going to be that long unless you're high D1+ from what I've seen.

 

I've been playing so little LoL lately. I've been playing a constnat 2 or so hours for the last 3 years and the game feels like a chore now. :/

 

Jagex all over again. Selling their shares to a company and the company fucks the game...WHY DO GAMING COMPANIES KEEP DOING THIS!?

I hate you lol. Tahm is the most annoying champion in the game.

 

You can't always have great stuff come each year. In addition to that, sometimes you have off years, it happens to everyone and everything no matter which business or realm you reside in. But you have to remember, what have they really done that's bad? They've kept the metagame fresh and exciting, EVEN IF YOU DON'T ENJOY IT. My favorite meta was Season 3, it was awesome all the assassins and flashy plays. But at the same time I still have enjoyed every meta since and have found ways to suit them to my playstyle. There's been very little true brokenness in champions. I will say that there's been more this year then there has in the past, but like I said, up and down cycles.

5 Champions were released in 2015, which is good considering that there's already plenty.

Bard - A fun and unique champion, brings a unique playstyle and playmaking ability to the table. Has a high skill cap, so you can sink hundreds of hours to the champion without learning it all. Yet you can jump on this champion and not feel useless at all.

Ekko - As much as the ult pisses me off this was a good champion. It explored a necessary aspect of the game and plays an important part. It's a fun champion to watch due to the playmaking ability.

Illao - Haven't really played enough with her to know much about her

Kindred - I understand the hate revolving around her, but the game would be worse off without her. Yet another unique champion, despite already having over 100, it can be annoying to play against but overall isn't awful.

Tahm Kench - The only champion I'd say League is worse off for having. He's fun to play which I guess is good. But he's infuriating to play against in an awful way. It just feels suffocating to play against him. He does have some playmaking ability and a bit of a decent skillcap. But overall he just provides a toxic aspect to the game.

Obviously though are my opinions on the champions, and possibly not public opinion. But do you see where I'm coming from? You may not personally enjoy the champions, but I think they provide new and exciting aspects to a game.

Competitive Scene - The competitive scene is incredible. The production value is insane, and everything is on the rise. Viewership numbers will probably stagnate a bit more, but overall will probably still increase.

I am a little sad about this though, I think that Riot is missing a bunch of opportunities to make the competitive scene even better, though they are doing very good with it so far.

 

One big problem I've been noticing is it is becoming increasingly harder to carry. Riot keeps implementing anti snowball tactics and it's making the game much harder. If you destroy your lane now, you aren't guaranteed the win.

 

A month or two ago I would have disagreed with you, but now 5.24 has settled for a while I'm not sure what to think. Then again I've been playing a mostly Evelynn, Sivir and Thresh in duo Q, two of which aren't the greatest for carrying low elo so my judgement probably isn't the best. Jax is still ridiculously strong IMO and can easily 1v5 if the team doesn't chain cc, but since he's frequently banned in my elo it's not so worrisome.

I read today that they're planning to change Runeglaive again. This can only go horribly wrong...

True. It's just like watching professionals play, we see them playing champions perfectly in certain situations, making clutch plays and landing perfect combinations. More often than not we deem several champions "OP" after we see professionals play them because they play them at the highest level possible.

 

Lol a small percentage of the champs deemed "OP" are truly "OP". I do agree that pros make some champs seem "OP" but then when a regular player attempts their similar style, they absolutely fail. Most OPs are banned during pro play.

 

My intake on your post:
People are always going to complain about an update no matter what game it is, some people like it and some don't
If you play the game everyday why would you want the game to die out.
Can't deny the game is buggy.
illoai is no where near to broken I have no idea how you are saying he's broken. He's completely useless all you have to do is not stay around him when he ults and set up efficent vision around the map.

Kindred - very skilled, not many people know how to utilize her ult to its full potential. She's not broken but does need some sort of nerf in the future.

Tahm kench - Best champion in the game in terms of kit. Especially in the top lane but does not have an above average win-rate probably because his kit can also be a double-edged sword for players who aren't good at decision making which is probably most players.
Ekko is not broken, no where near.

bard is balanced, lots of supports are strong don't know why he's considered broken.

Azir is extremely skilled, he's not broken.

 

I don't think you've ever been guarenteed a win, but I definitely felt like in Season 4 it was the team with the worst player that lost, compared to the team with the best player winning.

I think it's slowly shifting back into the "snowball" meta but I'm fairly low-elo and haven't watched any high level play besides solo-queue streams, and the IEM that was played on the pre-season patch.

 

Agreed. Today it's not enough to just dominate your lane though, you need to remember that there are 2 other lanes (3 if you count jungle influence) and they all play a large part in how the game progresses. I play mid mostly when I'm smurfing because it's the easiest lane to carry from, I dominate my lane with ease and then proceed to gank other lanes as often as I can to help snowball their lanes also. Playing from a position such as ADC is difficult to carry solo IMO, often times I've come out of lane 6/0 but ended up losing the game. This is entirely my fault, I should have pushed my lane, forced dragons, pressured other lanes and forced early team fights seeing as I'm a lot more powerful than the enemy. You can win your lane but it wont be enough, you need to devise a plan on how you're going to continue snowballing against your enemy (take into consideration what sort of team composition your enemy has also, do they have heavy CC? are they a late game team?)

 

i completely agree with this post, league has been going down the shit hole for a while now. and we just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper.

 

I think it's so funny hearing so many people vent over a free game that their playing for free that no one is making them play.. Ill wait for someone to tell me how wrong I am??

 

Agreed. But it just shows that they're passionate, they enjoy the game and don't want it to die out like many others before it. Most of these guys have probably invested at least $25 into purchasing RP, most of the people I know IRL who play League (even if it isn't regular) have purchased RP just so they can get a skin for the 1 champion they play.

 

Pre-season is actually a mess right now. Rip.
