[Dan Guides] How to add extra emoticons to MSN.
In this guide i will show you how to add any emoticon to MSN for use while chatting.

    1) Find a emoticon which you would like to add to MSN. I have found one that i like on: http://www.yahoofreak.com/funny-emoticons

    2) Once you have found a emoticon you would like to add to MSN save it to your desktop for easier access.

    3) Once you have saved it log in to your msn and click on the button all the way to the right underneath your Mail Count. A list will then appear with options.

    4) Put your mouse over 'Tools' and another list will appear. Click on the one labeled as 'Emoticons..'.

    5) After you have clicked on 'Emoticons..' a menu should appear with all your smileys and a few buttons. Click on the button labeled 'Create'.

    6) Another screen should appear with 3 steps. For the first step click on 'Find Image' and look for the image we saved earlier in your desktop or where ever else you have placed the image.

    7) For step 2 type a shortcut you would like to use for when the smiley appears. For instance if you do <3 on msn a heart smiley will appear. When you do the command you designate for this smiley the smiley will appear. In this example i will set the shortcut to 'poke'.

    8) The last step is to set a name for the smiley. This is completely optional. In this example i will name my smiley 'Dan Guides - R12'.

    9) After you have successfully completed all the fields required and are ready to add the smiley click 'OK'. If you do not wish to add this smiley click 'Cancel'. If you need more help click on 'Help'.

    10) Once you click 'OK' if you scroll down in the menu where all the smileys are shown you will see the smiley you just added under 'Custom emoticons'. This means you have successfully added your emoticon and are ready to use it.

Quick Tip: Your msn might be older or newer, this doesn't change where you can add your custom emoticons. The menu icons may be different or in another position but it will always most likely be under the Tools section in the main menu.

Hope you enjoyed my guide and find it very helpful. Expect many more from me.

I really liked the guide. It has a lot of pictures and I like the layout. Good job on your first guide if I'm correct.
