Puppies ditched by former owner in the streets cos they don't wanna take care of them since they have mange. Heard them crying outside my house and looked for them and unfounded around mid noon I can't find them. We went out to buy some stuff around 4pm and at that time it's already raining so hard. When we came back i was so happy to see them outside the gate clinging to each other, wet and starving so i immediately took them inside, dried them with a piece of cloth and fed them. At first, whenever someone's touching them they are crying but eventually the following day they are already comfortable with us around them.

I am feeling happy and sad all at the same time. Happy because I was able to provide a nice and warm shelter to 14 dogs with me right now and Sad because there are hundreds outside that doesn't have food and roof to stay safe and warm. But there's so much that I can do only if... I hope and wish that someday, I would be able to buy a big land where i can save and provide to as many as I can...

 

A heart breaking scenario where the brother doesn't wanna leave his brother in times of agony and sickness. I found these puppies outside my house just last Thursday. I've been hearing puppies constantly crying not far from my house but when I tried to look for them I can't see them. I learned that the reason why the puppies are crying is because some kids in the neighborhood are making fun of them and throwing them in the air and at times they'd fall on the floor and the kids would laugh at them, that's according to one of them when I asked them why there are puppies crying. I failed to see them at that time but the crying stopped. Mid afternoon, my cousin and I went to the store to buy some stuff but there was still no presence.

On that day, there's a heavy downpour and I am worried thinking that they could have already been wet and hungry. When we arrived past 5pm i was surprised because they were outside my gate and it looked like they were waiting for me. They're clinging to each other and their bodies are chilling. I immediately took them inside and dried them with pieces of cloth and gave them food. I noticed that the black puppy is bloated though. On the first and second day, Potchie the black puppy was still eating however on his third day with us, his appetite started to slow down and started to become weak. On the fourth day, he totally lost his appetite but was still drinking water so i decided to force feed him however his body is no longer accepting any food or medicine. Hence, he gave up.

The hardest and most difficult part of being a rescuer and being a furparent is the parting time. When you are unable to extend their lives and that's the time you started to lose hope. It's really draining but there's so much that I can do.

This is just a part of a rescuer's journal and a rescue story.

Since Shantay will have her sterilization (spay) schedule by the end of the month, I decided to bring her to the mall as a treat. It's her first time going to the mall i think it's overwhelming for her at the moment but she enjoyed much of it.

I'd be happy to share what our dogs at Laurascape Rescue Crib are eating. My dogs are on a plant based diet and I can't see any problem with it.

 

The new addition to our LaurasCape family, Mayo!

He was surrendered to us by his owner because they'd be going back to their province and she cannot afford to bring all 5 dogs with them. She approached me at the store where she is working at saying she saw my post on TikTok. Just happens that we lived at the same city so she decided to talk with me regarding her dog.

We recently moved our dog rescue to a new house in the Philippines.

This is a much better area for them, it is spacious because there's a front and backyard they can go play sunbathe and roam around. we would eventually like to buy this home.

Laurascape continuously improving the lives of all our rescue and we will never stop here. Last December i have rescued a total of 4 puppies dumped in the streets, park and middle of the road.

Part of improving their lives, their skin problems will get treated as days go by and we will also post an update in every treatment done on each dogs. I also brought them outside for a walk in the morning for an exercise. And a lot more to come. Dogs are being fed with healthy food like vegetables and fruits. So let me hear your thoughts.

 

Hi everyone,part of taking care of them is giving them healthy, clean food. Today i prepared mashed tofu block with bitter gourd and eggplant in a squash soup.

It is serve together with rice.

 

Hi everyone, today I'll show you how we prepare their food and the stove we're using at home. We have a charcoal stove. The Filipino started using it after WW2 and up to these days people are still using it thinking that they can save money from using that.

I first rescued teedy which is the bigger orange puppy, his brother died 3 days after I rescue them from the streets. So became lonely missing his brother that's why when Teddy arrived he's so happy and since then they are inseparable
