You need to learn how cheques work. Only the person who the cheque has been written out to can cash the cheque into their bank. No one else can cash it You have to have 2 forms of ID and 2 forms of proof of address to get a bank account. If you rang your bank and reported a fraudulent cheque. The bank can track me in a matter of seconds as they know where I live and who I am. If I use a neighbours address I would have to have access to their house in order to retrieve the cheque from their mail. Surely the neighbour would suspect something if you have a letter delivered to their house instead or yours? What you said doesn't make any sense. It's pretty impossible to scam someone using a cheque. If I knew how I would be scamming thousands of pounds on ebay. Not £250 on runescape. It's the only secure payment method.
